I just came here to say that Laura is a terrible grandmother. At her big age, she hasn’t taken the time to deal with her past trauma. As a result, she sees herself in Esme. Pathetic!!!

Technically; Ace hasn’t been taken. His big brother handed him over to his father. No one said that Nicholas couldn’t be around Ace, even if he is a wanted man.

If Esme has sole custody of Ace than Nik has technically kidnapped him from his mother and Spencer let him do it so he can also face charges.

@@Ms_Bumblebee Nik may be Ace’s bio father but that doesn’t mean he has the rights to take his son who has been being raised by its mother since birth and just run off. Esme has been the primary caretaker who has fed, cleaned, and taken care of the baby for its entire first year of life.

Oh that's nice, basically saying Esme went to him who knows who else she would go to. Cyrus is warning them about Esme going to Heather without warning them that Esme would go to Heather.

Laura, open your eyes. Spencer was being nice to Esme, why would he just turn on her all of a sudden. She’s so blind. Spencer thought it was weird that Esme dropped Ace off at Christmas and then it turned out that she did it so she could break into Wyndemere. Maybe Spencer shouldn’t have given Ace to Nic, but he knows what Esme is capable of. Her and Spencer having the baby, he would be vulnerable. Esme poisoned Trina and Oz. What’s to say she wouldn’t do the same to one of them if she thought she needed to get away.

Spencer only made the decision because he found out that Esme jumped while pregnant and didn't care if she or Ace died. I think Nicholas told him and he begged her not to jump. Laura does not know that. Spencer, it is time for you and Trina to leave and go to Paris.

@@CatchupGirl71 I hear what you’re saying, but that’s how soaps write. They make characters stupid to push their agenda. Spencer had blinders on until he almost lost Trina. Laura has lost a lot. Her daughter is in a coma, her on son is who knows where, Charlotte is channeling Helena, Nic keeps going into hiding. Like Nic, Laura sees Ace as a chance to get things right, so she’s placating Esme. She was right, when she said her and Spencer should have Ace, instead of being on the run with Nic. She does know what that life is like, but she doesn’t know what Esme is capable of. So to that degree, she should defer to Spencer’s judgement. Eliminate Esme and Nic will come back, but you can’t do that with Ace being used as a shield to protect her. Cyrus saw it. She needs Ace, not because she’s his mother, but because he protects her from the people that are after her.

No, the new and improved Esme would have called the police, like when Victor took Ace. She was just as desperate then. Difference this time is she knows who she is, so she's desperate but still practicing self preservation. And why is Laura so desperate to believe this girl? Does she believe that have surviving the Cassadines in common or does she want to because she's invested so much of her time and money that she doesn't want to be wrong and meanwhile people like Spencer and Ava aren't entitled to feel how they feel because she not the old Esme. There was a scene with Curtis at the hospital with Laura and Esme and he wasn't here for amesicac Esme. Call the police and say her son was no where to be found. But she ended up at the hospital with Cycus. When Spencer said this is our dad Ace. I mean Ace went straight to Nikolas with no hesitation. He wasn't screaming hollering having a fit. Trying to go back to his brother Spencer. Ace knows his dad is a good person. He just have done some bad things in his life. But Ace felt so comfortable with Nikolas. He felt safe and secure. With there dad. I just love the way. Ace laid his head on Nikolas chest. That was so sweet. When he is with Esme (Ace) He doesn't seem to happy. But Nikolas is a totally different person from Esme. Yes there are some good mothers out here. And there are some good father's out here as well. I do believe that Nikolas is one of those Good father's. That will not let anyone or anything hurt or harm. Ace in anyway. He made a promise to Spencer. That he would not anything or anyone. I am team SPRINA and so happy that Spencer used so much common sense and wisdom in making that hard decision. He saw the red flags with Esme this time and did not ignore them. He has been the custodian parent in Ace's life since day one and Laura runs off and leaves him with Esme, to go look for Nicholas. What got Spencer is when Nicholas told him about Esme jumping off of that parapet while pregnant and didn't give a hoot if she and the baby died. Esme is a pro at the game she is playing and has been playing. Anyone can birth a baby (women) but does not make them "Mother of the Year" as GH is trying to do with Esme. Ace looked at Spencer when Nicholas was grabbing and said, Bro, I am ok, now I am with our dad. Ace knows Spencer was getting ready to go to Paris and he saved him by letting his dad take him. Babies can sense whether a person is good or bad. Spencer told the truth to Esme, his grandmother and his Uncle Cyrus and when Esme start bumping folks off with the help of Heather, they will wake up. Laura needs to go back and recall the conversation on Christmas Eve when Spencer told her and Kevin, something is off with Esme, she blew Spencer off.

Again, that is why I don't see Laura having any regret this week about any harm coming to Spencer or Nik. She is literally appealing to the Catholic church to canonize E. Even if E follows #Sprina to Paris, how would that suddenly make her shift? E is "desperate to find her son" are the words of Laura. Maybe in weeks to come, but I don't see enlightenment coming to her in terms of E. She still believes that E will make good choices. I bet her regret is Spencer has moved to Paris with Trina and he doesn't tell her or say goodbye. It seems that E has to personally reject/cross Laura for Laura's brain to be de-esmetized

Spencer definitely needs to leave Laura's home. Laura has proven to be a menace when it comes to Spencer. How could she think that Spencer would hand Ace over to Nikolas without a good reason. Where has she been all this time! Spencer lives right under Laura"s roof where she is in a position to see how he loves and value his brother, but yet she acts like a stranger who does not know what Spencer is or is not capable of. How do you like them apples. All her support seems to be directed towards Esme, with nothing left for her own grandson. What exactly possessed Laura to reject the truth of what Spencer is telling her! If there is anyone who is in a position to know if Esme's memories are back, Spencer is that person. Spencer knows Esme better than anyone else. It's time to bring in Trina Robinson. She will not only stand by her man, but she will set everybody who doubt Spencer straight. Laura's stupidity continues to multiply everyday. That is why she will be the first name on Heather's murdering lists. Anyone should have been suspicious of a mother who would voluntarily not spend Christmas & Christmas Eve with her child. Especially after finding out she was out committing a crime instead. Exactly! Why wouldn’t she have spent Christmas with them. They are the only family she knows. Yet when Laura finds out that Esme broke into Wyndemere that made no alarms go off? She didn’t even ask why she chose to do it Christmas Eve instead of being with her son? Wyndemere is huge. How did Esme make it all the way up to the parapet without knowing where she was going? Then why didn’t she come and get Ace after she left Wyndemere? Esme claims she didn’t get her memories back. Wouldn’t she want to be with her son? Then she was late picking him up from the sitter. Esme’s behavior have definitely change since Christmas. Instead she’s getting mad at Spencer. Spencer has been supportive of Esme and is about to leave for Paris. Why would he pick now to go after Esme?

I am so happy with the relationship that Spencer and Trina have developed over all of this evil and unkindness that has been thrown at them. Who has Genie Francis pissed off in the writer’s room because whew….this is insane writing for her/Laura. How can Laura be this dense??? Even if she didn’t confess to Spencer that her memories returned, her actions of late should give Laura a reason to pause and question. Instead, she triples down and gives more unearned loyalty to Esme. Insane.

I think that Laura basically turned her back on Trina for Esme and she doesn't care about Spencer's happiness or Trina's and she's trying to fix her past deeds through Esme instead of fighting for custody of Ace or doing a DNA test with Ace to make sure that he's really a Cassadine but she doesn't care about anybody's feelings and she's going to lose Spencer and Trina both for this and I would've had Spencer say this coming from the woman who basically has forgiven and forgotten what Esme did to Trina and my friends who hasn't bothered to even file for custody of Ace and thinks that she can likely fix her past misdeeds through her and even if I did tell you about any of my theories it's not like you would've believed me because you seem to believe Esme more than anyone else

Kevin functions as the voice of reason for Laura. Similar to how Trina does for Spencer in critical moments. He's not around and she's floundering without her partner to bounce her ideas off of. Her judgement is off and she cannot see clearly. Kevin always brings a sane perspective. This could be another commentary the writers are making about partners, coupling, ect.....it's like, "what's missing from this picture?" Ahhh ...Kevin!

Andrea, I truly think that Laura needs a reality check. It's a good thing her husband is a psychiatrist.

Esme may remember the bad things she did in the past but that doesn't mean her memories of being pregnant, giving birth to Ace, working hard to be a good mother to him and loving him are now suddenly erased. She remembers all that too. She's at a crossroads of not knowing what to do but in her fragile state, having her child taken away can really unbalance her mind! Spencer may think he made things better but he really made things worse. Even if it's payback that Esme deserved, they should've realized that in Esme's current state, she might go off the deep end.

Leave Spencer alone

We need some psychological insight, perspective, wisdom, intuition and balance right about now..... Where's Kevin when you need him?🤣 He's mysteriously absent I noticed. Laura does not function well without him.

Trina will be on Spencer's side because she saw something crazy with Esme earlier in the courtroom. Esme says that Trina was selfish and took Spencer from Ace. When Spencer and Trina talk, they will be in agreement. Trina knows how much Spencer loves Ace and something came up bad for him to hand him to Nicholas.

The writers only threw Ace in the mix because they definitely wanted to cause problems for Sprina at every turn. They also want to keep testing us to see if we will accept an Esme and Spencer pairing so they can satisfy the status quo or the nay sayers.

Nik was going to end up with him. Psychopaths do not raise their children on this show. The best way to get the most mileage from where it all began, was do this. Nik housed her for the purpose of taking the kid. And he wouldn't have known if she hadn't broken into Wyndemere the first time and shared that.

Spencer's moral compass is still being developed. Yes he is right about Esme but giving away a woman's child was not the right move. Spencer came up with a good solution during his conversation with Nikolas but Nikolas manipulated Spencer...again. Now Spencer will have the whole town hating him. The gains Spencer made with Trina's family durong the holidays will now be erased.

The Cassadine men always keep their children away from the mothers. Stavros and Stephan kept Nicholas away from Laura for decades. This is what they do.Even Helena kept Lucky away from Laura for a few years when Lucky's death was faked. I'm glad Ace is gone and I hope Laura feels the wrath of Esme personally for being so stupid and blind. She is definitely not the whip smart Laura of old. More like a dumb and dumber version. Laura needs to wake the heck up ASAP!

Reality check. Spencer chose the lesser of 2 evil to give Ace to, and he did the right thing. If you think about it, no one knows evil Esme better than Spencer, and no one is in a better position to know if Esme's memory came back other than Spencer. Spencer has always said that he would do anything necessary to protect his little brother. Well, he stayed true to his words. After Craze-craze Esme got her memory back recently, she visited her mother Heather and told her that she was justified in drugging Trina and everything else that she did to Joss and Cam. Does that sound like someone with a moral compass to you! Esme is a psychopath who doesn't even care about redeeming herself, not even for the sake of her little son Ace. Right now she is pissed off at Spencer and Nikolas not because she loves Ace, but because Spencer crossed her not only about Ace, but also about the Paris trip with Trina. You want to know what a loving and concern mother would do in evil Esme's situation, they would have called the police, despite the consequences to them because concerned and loving mother's put their children first, above all else. Not so for evil Esme. The moment Spencer said that he was going to tell the police that she had her memories back, she avoided calling the police. What was the excuse that she gave to Cyrus for not calling the police...she told him that she didn't trust the police. With Esme, it is all about her own self-preservation and avoiding justice. She is not going to go out on a limb for little Ace by exposing herself to the authorities that she has her memories back. Oh no, we expect absolutely no selfless act from this so called mother, and believe me, I am using the term mother very loosely. There you have it! Before you start quoting the wrongs that was done by the untold number of woman who are mother's on GH, try to focus on the fact that we are talking about Esme in particular, and that this is not a comparaison shopping situation. Whatever these untold number of woman may have done in the past (Carly, Elizabeth. Ava, etc.) they have put all of it behind them, and are now productive, functioning good mothers. Despite been given an amnesia of convenience, an illegitimate baby to help her cover her crimes, a cushy job with Alexis, free room and board at Laura's, Spencer as a technical live-in nanny where she literally chose to use his love for his baby brother to keep him from spending time with Trina, Esme failed to redeem herself. Plain and simple, Esme has no redeeming value and she is not looking to redeem herself.

Every single mother in port Charles (with the exception of Portia) have done horrible horrible things!! Elizabeth, Carly, Ava even Felicia! No matter how bad of people they behaved like nobody ever took their kids away. Esme is a good mother. If her being a horrible person (which she is I don’t deny that) means she should have her child taken away, then Liz should lose all 3 of her boys, Carly should never be able to speak to any of her kids again, Alexis shouldn’t be able to talk to her girls. Like I dislike Esme as a person but she is a good mom and by general hospital standards she’s not even the worst mom we’ve ever seen. I just want Spencer to be happy with Trina and just stay away from Esme and let her and her son be alone

Esme is the one that wedged herself into Spencer’s life since the beginning. Then she had a baby with his father and immediately tried to use the child as a bargaining chip pre and post amnesia. Not exactly the actions of someone who wants a separate life. Despite what she says she is the one that treats Spencer like Ace’s father whenever it’s convenient or when she wants to pull him away from something/someone that he loves. When it isn’t convenient anymore she tells him he has no rights. As for whether she is a good mother she is a psychopath. She lacks the capacity for remorse which she admitted to her psycho mother. Sure she loves Ace as much as she is capable of loving anyone but is she capable of raising him or thinking of his well-being even when it contradicts her own obsessions and vengeance and self-preservation? I would say no to that. If loving a child was all it took then we should lobby for Heather to have been able to raise all her children. Sure Heather killed the occasional people, doesn’t value the lives of others or feels true remorse for anything she does but look she loves her children so is she really that bad? Is this what we’re saying now? As for Nicholas I distrust him less as a parent than I do Esme and even then I’m hoping that this whole thing gets wrapped up before Ace’s 5th birthday so he isn’t in hiding forever and can be raised amongst his other family. Spencer had no good options and he’s not even saying this was a good option but the alternative was unthinkable and worse for Ace.

We've never seen a single scene of Laura actually taking care of Ace. She always just breezes into a room, squeezes his cheeks, calls Esme "hun" and leaves. Has she ever worn a diaper bag? Taken him to the park or pool or fed him? Rocked him to sleep? Constantly canceled plans like Spencer constantly had to do for a year? Even in Greenland, she didn't hold that baby once. It was Trina who kept a constant hold of Ace. She didn't even hold him at the hospital when they got back and he was being checked out. In a year, Laura's not once played a role as an actual caretaker. She and Kevin chose to take a very passive role in Ace's life. So I don't feel like Spencer needed to consult her about anything regarding the baby.
