There is something terribly condescending ( to Grant) about JL offering to help Celia take Grant upstairs. It just feels very icky... I think he's enjoying getting to be Grant's "hero" in Celia's eyes.

Blackie was so awful to Amy! Just completely through her under the bus to get his contract! Stephie is totally obnoxious as well.

That's the way it works...unfortunately when an exec wants to sign a band there may be members they don't feel are compatible... doesn't matter how close they are. it's a rough industry. Something like this happened with Tom Petty... he had to fire someone or a couple of guys he was super close to early on because the guy signing the band didn't want them.
