Anji casually tries to grab/hug Baiken mid-convo. Baiken just looks annoyed he didn’t follow through and continues their convo, and doesn’t scold him for trying that and doesn’t shake off his hand. This kinda implies he has done this before, and she’s not encouraging him, but also not discouraging him. I really didn’t expect Anji to be so bold and forward with Baiken privately, and Baiken is acting clearly more tsundere too. Daisuke-san’s vision is becoming clearer…

And Anji’s definitely picked up on it lol, it’s prolly why he has zero fear about being bolder with her. It’s nice seeing their relationship progress into this since GGX/XX, I’m cheering for them!

@@alfonsocyrusjoshua9551 No i mean like so much context is missing that’s unrelated to Chaos, Nagoriyuki, etc. Like there has to be a lot more on Bedman and Delilah plus Johnny is no where on the Mayship lol. Plus since everyone says story pretty much means who gets added, Testament is nowhere to be seen yet. But maybe they’re the one taking leadership after Ky’s abdication? If anything this story was covering what was happening of the scene of the HC plot.

Yeah, normally the voice actors for English dub aren't the best, but GGST has amazing English voice actors. Baiken being one of my personal favorites. I just like how deep and gruff her voice sounds.

So now we know why Faust is fucked up. Hopefully in the next game he get's repaired. On a semi-related note: what happened with his trip with Cronus? They decided to do some soul searching together and have Cronus eventually go down the path of redemption. No sight of that guy during this or even a mention. Cronus used to be a big bad of the franchise, I wonder where he went.

The thing is I've never played Guilty Gears main games just the DS one and sin explaining where babies come from I can't tell if it's his innocents or knowing how weird some characters backstories are that if it's true that he was born from an eye.

The Faust we play as in the game is actually Faust’s body operated purely by his primary desire to help people as a doctor. A soulless husk. That’s why he talks so slowly and can’t control his body completely.

Ram and Sin are watching Baiken and Delilah, May's probably back inside the ship at that point with April, and then there's Faust alone in the rain, completely exhausted and we literally see his soul leave his body. It better be canon that they all gathered around Faust like they did with Delilah, he doesn't deserve to have his paper bag get soaking wet in the rain all on his own.

I can only wonder how fast this'd actually like animated like... well, anime. The way it is here makes everything feel so slow yet everybody in the cutscenes react like they're moving faster.

Late to the party, but rare amplifying magic in Guilty Gear is Ki, and since it was a spiritual concept before whole "magic is real" event, it is implied japanese characters (or east asian in general) are able to subconsciously use it to be superhumans. There is also this whole thing with japanese exclusive virus that was investigating in previous games, that might add some kind of mutation.

Bedman (the actual brother, not the bed) died in the previous game. Now his spirit is controlling the broken bed that's malfunctioning, and all it can do is protect Delilah.

Ariels, the Sanctus Maximus in Xrd, was possessed by happy chaos during the later portion. Venom and Robo ky defeated bedman, but he was still alive and was awake for the first time in his life. Ariels meets up with bedman and laughs at him and tells him he’s been a great pawn. Bedman uses the rest of his power and threatens to kill Ariels, but instead uses it to resurrect his sister Delilah and crumples to ash and dies.
