just look at Apink, they've been here for so long.. they may not be as big as other groups but they are still with us and none have not heard of Apink. They are iconic and I think GFriend is aiming to be that kind of girl group rather than the likes of super famous girl groups that tbh is limited and controlled by their own fame. Sometimes being too famous feels like you have no more freedom to explore because of the "backlash" you will receive if the fans don't like what you release.

[Mint KJ] I became buddy recently (just before apple came out) and I have to say one of the big reasons for it was the music videos. Not just the storylines because I’m not sure I actually understand what’s going on lmao but there’s just something about their music videos... they have some incredibly beautiful scenes and a sort of nostalgic, mysterious feeling. I don’t know if it makes sense I can’t explain it but I love it 😂

When groups started using more english to attract more western fans, gfriend still uses less than 20% english and still attract a loyal global fanbase. When groups starts to put more rap than vocals, gfriend still sticks to their vocal theme, and still delivers several highnotes in one song flawlessly. Gfriend is unique, and we need our 6 girls back, they could literally make more amazing songs that has the potential to top the charts if it weren't for their disbandment, shame on you source music.

why do some people complain about gfriend MVs and songs with storylines of their own world? i personally find it quite unique and nice, and if they can’t appreciate it then it’s safe to say that its their problem, not gfriend’s. i understand that people have different tastes and they can dislike certain songs but that is not equivalent to, nor does it give the authority to leave rude remarks. there is a fine line between constructive criticism and insults. and is it that problematic that they have a comeback with different concepts from what they had before? from what im seeing they are still keeping their original color, just mixing it with others and adding depth as well as more meaning to it. imagine having the same concept for six+ years. wouldn’t that be boring to the artists and their audience? its nothing but fresh. not to mention that this is literally one of the very few comebacks with a complete change. so please just enjoy what they put on for us instead of making complaints in the comment section, im pretty sure they know what they are doing..

The thing I noticed about GFriend's music is the more you listen to it, the more it gets better. It's not like the kind of music that's already catchy to you the first time you heard it. In GFriend's music, you really need to put effort by listening to it many times so you can see its real beauty and also by doing that, you can appreciate the song more. It's like a hidden gem. I think that's the reason why antis are always saying that GFriend doesn't have any good song, it's because they only listen to it once and after that, they're gonna say a lot of hate comments about it. They won't listen to it again because all they have in their mind is their hatred towards GFriend which is something that I really don't understand because GFriend is one of the nicest groups I've ever known. They are also very talented so why hate them? They didn't do anything wrong to those antis but they keep on talking so bad about GFriend as if GFriend did something illegal. I know that we have different tastes and opinions but can we just don't say anything if we don't like a song or a group? I mean we can always stan any groups without dragging another one down. Or if they really want us to know their opinions then at least say it in a nice way and not in a very rude way. I don't know why they have to be so aggressive. To those antis, I just want to say that just try to know GFriend and you'll see that they're so much better than you think. If you still don't like them after you tried to get to know them then it's completely fine, we respect your opinions as long as you're not hurting anybody.
