As an owner of the same (different color) icemaker, I can attest to two things. One, It makes awesome ice and a lot of it and two, Gevi is very good about honoring the warranty. I had the same problem with my water pump. I sent them an email describing the problem. Within 24 hours, they confirmed that it was a faulty water pump and gave me a choice of full refund or replacement icemaker. Thank you for making this video. If my newly replaced icemaker has another issue after the warranty, I will certainly use this video to repair it.

Thanks! We purchased this machine second hand so compensation is not necessary. My wife and kids love the ice this machine makes (they call it Sonic ice) and this instance aside it has worked great. The only things I would add to your machine: ( I have already) 1. is a small hook on the side to hang the scoop when not using it. 2. some sound deadening to the metal sides. this one had a "louder" vibration after I rebuilt it. (this could have been from my work because I don't remember it before I took it apart.) anyway thanks for the offer,

It is simpler now that I know the ice shoot comes off. Check out my newer video where I fixed the leak that showed up on this machine.

Thanks this helped immensely. Got a little frustrated popping those sides off, but otherwise was able to follow you very clearly. I actually managed to replace the pump without taking the bucket off by using a flexible screwdriver and only popping the top screw on the bracket off. Felt like it saved me 10 or 15 minutes.

Great video! Fixed mine I think the replacement pump without the restricted orifice will hold up longer than the original part. I think the hard water here is what really did that pump in. As a bonus to my repair I only misrouted one wire and ended up with only four extra screws. We got ice!!!

I adore our Gevi ice maker. Unfortunately this is my second one with a faulty pump. I’m hoping I can do half as good a job repairing mine. I hate to have another broken machine.

Ours turned out to be a piece of paper towel that had lodged in the inlet of the pump from cleaning.

That would do it, we are always careful with that filter when cleaning

Soldering is easy. I didn’t see you put any flux on the piece. That’s what makes it flow.

It looks like the holes in the new pump are bigger as the old one has flow restrictors on them, has that been a problem with the new pump?

That is a tricky one. I do cover this in the video about 3/4 in, as I remember There are clips on the bottom of this panel, then you rotate it up. Check on this as it has been a few months now.

Heat the part and then touch the solder to the part not the iron, make sure you use flux too! Soldering is fairly simple you just have to do it in the right order

I can't get it. I am interested in buying a nugget ice maker for several months and this model was launched only a few months ago. I believe you should have at least one year warranty.
