Lovely to see a craftsman at work. Two questions if I may, how do you conceal the solder seam up the side of the body, and what solution is used at the end to darken the copper?

Finished with aqueous potassium sulfide solution. This solution darkens the copper and silver, so the solder marks are less visible. In fact, if you look closely, you can see some white solder marks.

Made of 1.2mm copper.

Very nice piece. I really like those hammered surfaces, both the fine and the more "rustic" and uneven ones. I've seen a very similar design on an urn recently, which is probably why I clicked on this video. It was a bit bigger/higher of course. It also had a very thin brass (?) line around the upper part of the body, which was a very nice and subtle detail.

beautiful! i have some questions which i hope you don't mid answering: - what type of solder do you use, silver/tin? - what are you washing the copper in (yellow liquid)? - what is the final treatment, wax?

1. I use silver solder. 2. It is an aqueous solution of potassium sulfide. 3. Similar. It is transparent shoe polish

Great stuff but that noise the cutters make is pure evil.

hammer the entire surface once, then i anneal. I've done it about 5-6 times here.

HCL acid is the best for cleaning Copper

Suggestion, why not use TIG welding instead of silver brazing welding?
