Getting Your Horse Forward and Transitions Simplified ~Make your idea your horses idea

In this video, Jack Curtis takes you through the steps of how to make it your horse's idea to move forward and make easy transitions. He will explain rider position, preparation, using our core, rhythm, tempo, and more!
Do you believe in kind and fair treatment for your horse? Do you believe your horse should be trained without fear and intimidation? Without harsh tools and techniques? With kindness and love at the forefront?
Then...You are in the right place!
Because it can be hard, and oftentimes overwhelming to sift through all the information on the internet. And... As you may already have found, those that propose to put the horse first, oftentimes do not...When you really care about your horse, these things matter.
There are so many factors that play into success in your horsemanship. Your horse's health, how you house him, the techniques you use, the equipment, your own mindset, your health, your ability to understand horse-human communication, and so much more.
Education is essential... But, It can be hard to find the time to travel to horse fairs, clinics and lessons. Even harder to access quality world-class instruction. Expensive too!! (lodging, gas, fees, etc...) PLUS who takes care of your animals while you are away!?!
You also know just how valuable just one simple tweak in your riding and training can completely transform the outcome.
You know that learning from the right people is essential for the wellbeing of you and your horse. This is exactly why we put together this online event with presentations from leading experts you can trust.
The Art Of The Horseman is a gathering of the most thoughtful and considerate experts in the industry, taking a holistic look at the entire picture for both horse and rider. Mind, Body Spirit... Both your own and your horses.
Finally, a one-stop resource with leading experts coming together to make a change for the better, in how we interact, handle, and keep our horses today.
Say goodbye to the barriers of discipline exclusion, and the singularity of following only one trainer...When you put the horse first, we can learn so much from one another. Creating a better future for both ourselves and our horses.
Yes, Knowledge IS power... When you put into practice all that you learn. But, more importantly, it is an investment in your future.
I can not even begin to explain how much progress I have made, and how far I have gotten with my horses by learning from leading experts from all fields in the industry.
It Is Transformative. AND you can do the same. It's NOT magic.
So be ready to spend some time, take notes, and immerse yourself in the learning.
Be ready to be the best you for your horse... Your horse deserves it!
See you at the fair!
Paula

Worked on this the other day with Jack and it really worked with my horse that has more Whoa then Go. I am working to feel the tempo and being able to change it with more intention. I watch this more than once so not to forget a critical piece. Thanks much Jack

Thank you. I will try this. I’ve lost confidence with my 4yr old warmblood. He is very green and backwards thinking and began to plant his feet and buck when I asked for trot. He also threatened it a lot when riding past the arena gate.

It seems as though it's getting the horse on your wavelength so he's ready when you ask him to change.

Well said! Prepare to position for the transition and the transition will take care of itself.
