I currently am going through alot mentally and for my mental health have distanced myself from my very best friend... but I truly think its not the best thing for my mental health right now. I've had to do the same and it's been freeing. It was hard to hurt her, but if she listened at all, it was something she needed to hear because so many of our mutual friends felt the same way about her. She made everything about her and she drank all the time to the point that it was ugly. I stopped drinking years ago and she couldn't understand why I didn't want to be around it. Even though I explained myself many times, she only heard what she wanted to. We had a large group of friends who all understood. Anyway, you should only keep people in your life who lift you up. It should be easy.

Brittany, there is a book called “In the Meantime”. Its about exactly this. Some relationships are just meant to be ‘meantime’ relationships. The book does a great job at helping you recognize when you’re in one of these or if you’re going to get into one. It has helped me for decades as I now understand so much better who is meant to stay in my life and who is just passing through.

I haven't even finished watching and I already have to acknowledge how great of an example this is for ***not having to match the energy of the person you're interacting with*** 👏 👏 👏

I really feel for your friend Sarah. She seems really sweet and genuine. Make friends as an adult is hard! You don’t want to be friends with toxic and jealous people.

I absolutely love these types of videos - they make me feel like I’m at a sleepover! I don’t have many girlfriends, so these vids are really comforting and fun!

Always feel like I need to shrink myself or dim my shine to be accepted. When I'm myself I am told I'm "too loud" so I try to be more quiet then it's "why are you so shy?" "Why you so quiet?"

I can't agree more about being "pretty". A lot of people think I'm being a stuck up bitch when I say, being pretty can invoke jealousy in other women. I've had girls stop being my friend because they were too jealous of me. Sad but it happens.

Fun game. Seems like a great way to deepen a friendship and learn things about the other person that you never through to ask.

I've found as I got older, a lot of friends (normal or what I considered my best friends), have distanced themselves or stopped hanging out as often - most of them who are in relationships and/or married and/or have kids. Being the "single dude" in my circle of friends is pretty rough when it comes to hanging out sadly.

I have followed u for the last 3 years and think your and amazing person!!! Love ur happy and living ur life!!! Ur dog it so cute too!!!

Stephi reminds me a lot of my partner, but oposite gender, which is also intresring. Probably why I gravitate towards her because they are both clam yet goofy, shy but with a wonderful mind, and of course, wonderfully creative :)

Hi Stephi. I just wanted to share something and I hope it doesn't seem super negative or anything like that because it's just a feeling I get. I think your new friend is super awesome in her own right and who she is as a being is exactly who she is and that's great. However just from watching videos of yours I think you're an empath and highly sensitive and quiet and it just seems that if you guys hung out a lot that you might feel overwhelmed and burnt out. Her energy is really strong and big and I just think that you would end up feeling too overstimulated. That's just my opinion no one has to come for me it's just energy and how people are and what happens when they get closer and since you're playing the game I was playing it right there with you. I understand this too. I'm the quiet one in the group most of the time and when there are more people I talk less. Then other people make something out of it then it gets weird and comes off like I'm being mean when its just the lack of understanding on their part.

Most people feel more like you. I'm more like Sarah (strong/big energy, "loud" etc.) & it's hard for people like us. I have no friends atm. It's even harder being an introvert on top of having strong energy.

Believe it or not I am extremely bold and my presence is very strong and I have what would be called I guess high energy even though right now I am extremely ill and somewhat disabled. However even though I am an extrovert I get burned out very easy from a bunch of people just talking and it not really being important and having to listen and engage, it becomes overwhelming and too much stimulation. And I understand not having any friends at the moment. Although I am a really good friend I don't have any friends. I have one friend but I don't see him often but the love and care for each other is there. I'm sorry to hear you do not have any friends as I feel good friends authentic true friends who are interested in your world not just wanting to be interesting about their world are hard to come by. Hello. I think that books on introspection also need to be diluted with books about creating something. For example: how to build a house, how to grow potatoes in bags, how to create a hydroponic farm, how to build an electrolytic oxygen generator, 3D printing, solar panels, peaceful use of AI technology in medicine, etc. Of course, for any startups and creations, it is always nice to have a good company, friends, whose collective experience in different fields or the ability to cover a wider scientific ground can help to achieve a common goal.
