As a fellow Tollycraft owner I was attracted to your channel as you traveled the Columbia. I'm former Oregon and now from Vancouver, WA. I envy you and your trip on the great loop. It's great that you and your wife are going to home school the children, although I think they'll get more out of the loop than the schooling and it's a trip that they will remember forever. This video was the one I was hoping you would produce showing the final arrangements for your trip. I assume you will continue posting your adventure on this channel. We're looking forward to the loop.

Really fun to watch the kids rush in and start to explore the new home! Thanks for letting us share the hard work and excitement of leaving Oregon to start this epic adventure and reaching Witness after a long slog. Looking at the piles of cartons on the boat when you arrived plus the piles of cartons you shipped on Southwest, I'm sure the loading, unpacking and storing of all the "stuff" seemed overwhelming. Congrats on achieving the first huge step of the journey.

Thanks! It was overwhelming. We weren’t sure what we brought would fit since the boat was already fully stocked for the loop. Thankfully, we got it all on board the first night (with thundershowers for motivation to unload the truck). Everything is tucked away now but we’re still figuring it all out!

First time watching the channel, and I stg, I recognized the steel bridge model and started wondering if there were near Portland, and when I saw the carpet, it was no question…

I’m tearing up a little bit watching you finally arrive after such a long journey (and the plane ride was only a tiny fraction of that journey!) You’re probably cruising around Lake Michigan right now, maybe even somewhere near Leelanau County and Grand Traverse Bay…??? I’ll watch for you just in case you’ve made it up this far. Regardless, I hope you’re enjoying getting to know the boat and starting this wonderful experience.

@@onFIREfamily went on a sea trial today with a haul out and inspection. There were some minor things but both inspectors said the boat was above average. EEEEK. We’ll see when the reports come back.
