I was stationed here for 3 years in the Navy and got to go back for work like 3 times. I love the island, people and the history. I wish it didnt cost so much to travel to. I would love to bring the family back. Chamorro Village is always a must on Wednesday night!

Mr. Koralik, I love how you add the facts and details about Guam, the airport, the food, the entertainment and the weather! Thank you for that
My husband was in the navy and we spent 4 yrs there. My favorite place on earth!!
Great video, I’m Chamoru and was born and raised on Guam currently living in California. Well done and thank you for showing my home island and for visiting all the way from Chicago.
I lived in Guam for four years! I miss it so much and wish It was easy to just move back. Thank you so much for this video. It brought back so many memories!
Hope you're doing well, Adam! Keep your head up and remember it's okay to take breaks. Your fans have your back and we respect you and your life, so don't be afraid to take some time for yourself. Keep up the great work! Lots of love from Canada ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
Buenas Yan Håfa Adai! I’m a native of Guam and you gave me a chuckle when you said the locals are called “guahans” 😆 this is not true, Guåhan is simply “Guam” in our native CHamoru language. Natives are CHamorus, and those who are not native but have lived in Guam for a long time are considered “Guamanians”… glad you enjoyed our little piece of paradise! You got a new subscriber here 🤙🏼

I lived on Guam 11 years of my life, 5 as a kid and 6 from 89-95 to teach. I also got a chuckle with some of the words BUT I GIVE YOU 100% for doing your best. It would be the same for me visiting another country. Good for you!! I enjoyed seeing your videos and how much the island has changed just since 95. Crazy!! I need to get back to visit.
this is really fascinating! I've never heard of Guam before, but your little tour is really fun to watch and educational. Great video!!
Bearded nerd goes to GuamAlso known as America's start of the Day. Meets up with yet another friend of his to eat some cultural appropriate food, tour the Tourist areas, and just chillax on the beach. What a beautiful hidden gem that the USA has. It looks very nice and relaxing. But knowing what happens after this trip makes me kind of sad. I hope you had a great time Adam. And again thank you for taking us along.

Thank you ! I always always always loved Guam. Can’t wait to go back there 🥹
This was a good informational video about Guam. Almost too much information, but pretty well done so I recommend watching 2 or 3 times. I lived on Guam for 2 1/2 years in the late 90's and I truly enjoyed it. The shops and along the sidewalks had a lot more people activity than what is shown here, but the was no pandemic. The pools, beaches, etc were just exactly as depicted in this video even when Guam was bustling. The reason is (and was not mentioned in this video) the humidity. The hottest temperature I saw (only once) was 94 F. Usually the afternoons would top out in the upper 80's, but the humidity is what makes it miserable. People from Houston adapt fairly easily, but those from drier climates have a tougher go. The people of Guam are quite friendly, and if you keep in mind that Guam is their home and show them a little respect, you will reap the rewards 10 fold.
8:32 I miss King’s. One of my favorite places to eat when I was stationed there 2000-2003
Wowww so excited to go there!! Thanks for this video
Great vid as allways also I hope your doing ok & stay safe
Good video Adam, I remember you on about that place years ago saying it's what people imagine Hawaii is like. Nice that you have happy memories of your mother in such beautiful place.
I really enjoyed this, thanks Adam.
Really good video and info! Thanks for coverage :-)
love hearing the stories of you and your mom's previous trip. sending you hugs!
We enjoyed watching this story. Great job 💕
I spent every summer in Guam for half of my life. My father lived there and most my family (on his side) are born/raised on the Island. Since a majority of my time there was in the early 90's, and if you were alive then, you know it was VERY different. It was rugged, rough, and BEAUTIFUL--UNTOUCHED. It used to be a long-distance call to call the states. The Mall was BRAND NEW when I was there!!!! A very big deal

Good footage. Love the beaches there, have only seen water that bright blue on the beach at Tulum in Mexico… I could see myself vacationing in Guam within the next few years, much easier to get to than my other holiday destinations.

Nice vid. Guahan is actually the name of Guam in our native language(chamorro). We are referred to as Guamanians. Just thought id say lol. GLAD YOU ENJOYED YOUR STAY ON OUR BEAUTIFUL ISLAND :D
Although we have less tourists, the locals and Guahans are into eating at the restaurants by the hotel. Today, when the restrictions are mostly lifted, we are starting to have tourist coming in. Koreans, Japanese and others. Feel the Hafa Adai spirit, visit Guam, where Americas day begins.

25:22 you're standing right where I saw a manta ray March '22 lol. Loved Guam and want to go back soon.
The pools and beaches seldom get crowded with tourists because most of them are out shopping or doing tours. The average stay for a tourist is only 3 nights. So they don't have much time to relax by the pool or on the beach.
Was there about 30 years ago. Still looks the same, especially the beautiful hotels and empty pools and beaches. Brought back great memories. Thank you.

You're welcome. Good morning from Guam. I like how you educated yourself on the history here and the sentimental value you hold here with memories of your mom. There are definitely way more people out and about now.

I miss Guam, may be heading back soon though! It is crazy nice there, you are not exaggerating at all, it is just that great.I spent a year there ending just before the Pandemic in December 2019. You are right, it's never over crowded and 99% Japanese or Korean tourists, very few American tourists. It's crazy because it has it's own flare compared to Hawaii with a local culture and very Asian culture. So much to see and do, best beaches ever! Nice job on the Vlog!

Very much so!
you were on a flight with Thomas Anderson? whoa. :P some *incredible* views in this video though. IDK I guess I've always loved the beach, I grew up in southern california, and we went to the beach all the freaking time, then later in my adult years my parents made 'Thanksgiving in Pismo' an almost yearly tradition, and finally in my early 40s I moved to oceanside to be with my wife just outside of SD so I guess the beach and near the ocean is definitely my happy place. as an aside it's kinda interesting that they cater to both US folks and Japanese ones, if I had the money I would totally visit there to see what all that's about. anyway hope you are holding up okay. always appreciate these videos it's neat to see all these different places, looking forward to the next one!
in 2019 Korean visitors outnumbered Japanese. Korean is now the majority tourism market in Guam, and Korean tourism investment is increasing.

Your video did bring back some memories. When I was a kid we lived on Guam for several years shortly after the end of WWII. I used to hunt for old, rusty machine guns and other war stuff. They always warned us in school not to mess with unexploded bombs. A couple of times there were Japanese solders who figured out that the war was over and finally came out of the jungle and gave up. May years later I started working on cargo ships and we stopped on Guam for a day about once a month. Usually I rented a car a drove around some. It was interesting that a lot of the stores were packed with Japanese tourists. Going to Guam was a lot cheaper than Hawaii.

Being able to speak Japanese, Korean or Mandarin Chinese would definitely help with job searching in the tourist industry on Guam (an American derivative of Guahan). Otherwise, Chamorru and English are the main languages of business and legal affairs on Guahan.
Never considered going there but I should. Course I audibly gasped when I looked at airline prices at moment. Maybe later after I get a raise or bonus. :) Looks amazingly pretty.
I think at 25:09 you showed one of the Japanese pill boxes. I stayed at the Pacific Star for a month when I was deployed there. There was one at the end of the walk way to the beach. I would probably fly Southwest airlines to Houston and stay a night with my cousin. Get a whole new flight to Honolulu. Thinking an overnight of rest would allow me to better enjoy the trip. I do have one question. Since Guam is a US territory, is a passport or birth certificate being asked of passengers? I recall visiting Puerto Rico and no passport was needed, airport people like the shuttle service asked to see my driver's license. Thanks in advance for your time. Still enjoying your video. There is 2 ways to fly in & out of Guam, Direct flight thru Hawaii, or, through Japan... the reason Guam Tourism caters to Japan, is because the Japanese or any other Asian Countries want to get away from their cold Winter season, n Guam is the closest to a Warm/Hot climate place to go to without having to spend so much to fly farther to Hawaii or the Main Land, and Guam relies on Tourism to keep the Island Financial Economy going

It's too bad about the Santa Fe. I guess they couldn't survive the pandemic. I wonder if that place will be torn down and replaced. I've stayed there before. Although not in the best shape, it was still fine and the location was excellent right at the beach, around the corner from the busy area in it's own area. I love that little island you can swim out to. I was always surprised that more people didn't choose that place. I guess they like to waste their money paying 2 or 3 times the amount to stay in a fancier place, but I doubt any more memorable.
