Getting the Butter Jeep ready for Easter Jeep Safari 2023

I hope you can follow along as I bounce between a dozen projects as I get the Butter Jeep ready for EJS 2023. What I thought was going to be a transmission swap ended up being a little easier. I was able to keep it kind of simple and do some repairs to my soft top and some body and paint work on some previous damage.
Next episodes of my trip to Moab Utah will be fun as well.

We use nut-serts alot in our shop and we found buying the military surplus ones are great because they actually have a rubber sealing real to them and they aren't stainless, so they don't gaul when using stainless bolts.

I smashed my TJ tub in the same spot..I used a come-a-long and a tree and it pulled right out. A buddy with a winch would also work. You need to make a 10”-12” long section of a couple pieces of angle iron to reach around the back and hook the B pillar and out she goes! I welded a piece of scrap tube on the angle to put the hook through. I ain’t show car nice but for a woods Jeep it looks great and the half door now shuts and stays closed .

Great idea with the nut-serts. We have the same issue with our CJ7 that has a fiberglass windshield frame. I’m curious is there is any reason that I couldn’t put nut-serts into the fiberglass panel. We run a bikini top all summer and I would like a bit more secure mounting for that channel than a bunch of self tappers in fiberglass.

@@thedirtheadshed I should clarify that it isn't the entirety of the video, it's just when you get to a point where you are walking around the vehicle and showing certain things, the switching back and forth from forward to reverse, or into the engine bay and back out, or zooming in and then out quickly, it gets me feeling unwell and I have to stop watching. I'm sure I'm a minority when it comes to this issue. Keep up the great work, bro.
