Gotta rock a vortex cdi like I have on my 250r. One bad ass programmable cdi for the 250r's. Glad she is running good after that resleeve.

Brand new top end with lean jets ..lol you will be rebuilding it again . Start fat on the jets on your break in. . My 330 bolt on cylinder with trx 9 porting at sea level is 50 pilot needle in the middle and 180 main. With 38 air striker. Bdt pipe and esr reed cage and cr 250 ignition.

those are 100% the 2 nicest looking 250R's on youtube . id rather justins only because of the lobo chassis and black fenders . id race the black one after i had my mechanic go over it make sure it could finish a race .

Electric start engines are so much better, regardless of the battery and starter motor weight, it's all worth it for some of us. But, I do get it, 1980's. Rider JST...agreed, you did get that jetting on the money...I could hear it just the same as he pulled away in the last few mins of this video. Way better.

That bike sounds lean what needle is in that carb? You should be up around 52 55 pilot on a 310 cylinder with a D series needle

I have a 310 and the 48 that esr sent me in my carb for that motor was to fat 45 pilot waa as my sweet spot all machine was jet different I did however break it in at a 50 pilot then dropped down to a 48 for a tank or so I also run c12 or sunoco supreme race has with a race gas dome I could probably come down to a 42 when it's really hot but 45 is perfect

86trx250r guy what needle are you using ? The needle plays the biggest part in jetting and for some crazy reason nobody ever knows. Ive never owned a ESR cylinder. My old CT 310 cylinder i had it was a 55 pilot DEJ needle 2 clip from bottom 175 main. Felt great till it ate coolant.

Dgh middle notch boyesson reeds and 4th clip position needle is everything I agree most of the time people are in the midrange. port layout plays a roll also as well as what reeds you use boyesson are rich on low end v force are leaner on low end and nice versa for the top end ppl dont know that either. There is so much stigma about jetting and shit to read ppl end up not even close because they have no idea what there doing and end up throwing jets in because joe schmoe said use this I always listen to the motor it will tell you what it wants

What do you get when you combine an NHRA drag-racing mechanic with a QUAD guy, this. Excellent stuff, get as many cameras on those beasts as possible for Oklahoma !!! Make sure to take extra pilots of all sizes with you.
