I had the same Pulmonary Function Test done at the same time as a Methylcholine test to diagnose Asthma. I was diagnosed with moderate to severe Asthma and have to take Flovent and Salbutamol Sulfate as a rescue inhaler in conjunction with an Aerochamber so that I get the full dosage. Some people get the full dose with only the inhaler but unfortunately I am not one of those people... nor can I only use 2 puffs. 4 is needed to get me out of an Asthma attack. Not many people videotape or vlog the test process. Thank you for this.

I’m sorry to hear that, I know how rough it can be as well as how scary asthma attacks are! Part of why I wanted to document this was to share my experience to bond with other people so no one feels alone and to raise awareness! Sending you prayers and wishing you luck with your asthma!

Girl! I'm 37 and back on an Albuterol inhaler and it makes me crazy lightheadedness. I'm the same way. ALWAYS something wrong. Of course, if I would've learned to advocate for myself years ago some of my issues wouldn't be issues anymore.

Need to pass this test to go to the military on march 6. The change has to be in between 10 to 15 and can't be in the negatives. I had a 16% change on a pft literally fail with 1% over my first time doing something like this

I had one today, I stopped the test because they wanted to add some sort of medicine in the breathing thing to agitate the asthma (if I have it).. I'm terrified of inhalers, I don't like the jittery of fast heart rate I've heard about from them. But I heard you say there is alternatives!? They also said my shortness of breath can be from acid reflux also. I have what you call "silent reflux".

They said I had acid reflux to and then I was back in the ER 4 times after that in the matter of 2 weeks. My best option is go to a specialist

@@Elizabeth11.11 basically the enduce a asthma attack and you breathe into a tube to test it and they give u albuterol slowly to see how much you would need

K.P. Buteyko once said that: To test the validity of the scientific discovery made by us almost 30 years ago, it takes 30 seconds of time: offer an asthmatic hyperventilation - he will have a suffocation attack, offer to reduce breathing - will relieve the attack. The cause of the asthma attack is hyperventilation of the lungs, no one said this before our scientific research. And so I have been asking scientists for 30 years to spend 30 seconds to check this (1986).
