I love when the host talks so fast and give instructions at such speed as if a new learner can grasp all what they’re saying.

Hello Anne-Marie, sometimes a presenter gets so excited about a particular feature that they speed up their presentation without realizing it. We will keep your comment in mind during future presentations. The great thing about video as a learning tool is that you can pause, rewind, and replay at anytime and as many times as you like.

Slow down the video. Pause to let you catch up. Rewind and listen again. These are three options to solve your problem. You want to design learning situations and yet you can’t handle this small issue???

Easy way will be copy and paste the same button on the transcript layer. Some time objects on base layer are not clickable.

How do you use a variable to swimming the next slide to go to?

Amellia, could you rephrase the question? I am not sure what you mean by "swimming the next slide..."

@@Elearninguncovered I figured it out. I was asking how to use a variable to determine the next slide. I was working on a training that had multiple places you could review a scene from and I wanted it to remember which slide it came from. I just created another trigger and set a variable of CameFrom to do it. It works great! Thanks for your reply.

Hello, Nabeel, I would recommend the Articulate Storyline community for quick response to help questions. In the meantime, here are my thoughts. Using a button to show and hide the layers can be done without too much trouble. On the base slide, add a button to show the transcript layer. Then on a transcript layer, add a hide button that lays directly on top of the show button. to the student, it looks like the button is changing from show to hide, but it is really two different buttons. As for using a keystroke such as T, gets a little more complicated because the two actions will fight each other--Storyline would be getting conflicting commands about whether to show or hide the layer when T is pressed. The only way I can think to do is to create a variable that keeps track of whether the layer is showing are not, and then add conditions to the trigger. Show layer if layer is not showing. Hide layer if layer IS showing. You can also consider using the new built-in closed captioning feature in Storyline 360. The CC button appears by default in the player with the show/hide logic. (It does not have a keystroke equivalent, though.)

I apologize that I don't have an example I can share. We've done this for some of our clients, but I'm not at liberty to share the work we've done for them.

Thank you for your feedback, the good news is that I have discovered how to show and hide layer with a single key :)
