I’m not religious or a mother but I really like this good habits you teach because having a clean and organized house is really good for my mental, physical and financial health. I notice I spend more money when I’m messy too because I end up buying things I already have or thing don’t last as long as they could. Thank you, I’m learning a lot.

Some people who have disabilities which affect their hands can't wear lace up shoes due to not being able to tie the laces and need to wear velcro shoes or slip ons. "Getting dressed to shoes" motivates me so even when i wear shoes without laces I call them my "Motivational shoes".

I modified your 'Getting Dressed to Lace Up Shoes' to suit my specific needs. I don't feel like wearing clean fresh clothes unless I've had my morning shower. And I would only have my morning shower after my morning poop. And I have tea for the poop to happen. So since Monday I've been doing the Tea-Poop-Shower and THEN Getting Dressed to Lace Up Shoes very successfully. Earlier I felt that I had to get all the cleaning out of the way before I could take my shower and dress up. But now I take a shower early in the morning and am ready to face the day feeling fresh and energized by the shower. Thank you, FlyLady. (Though I do have a long way to go, but this is a good start)

Marla, I started a control journal yesterday! I'm using an old binder, and I already have plastic sleeves and picture album pages with plastic acid protector sheets. I wrote down a recipe I used for last night's dinner and put it in there. Today and/or tomorrow. I will make my routine lists and start my zone cleaning lists. I'll use my Fly Lady Plus app to draw my lists from. I like the digital, but I need a hybrid system of both digital and written. I'm keeping my control journal in the kitchen, and I have my calendar, a notebook. And my brain dump journal stored in my handbag, which had just replaced my purse. I can technicall fit my control journal in yhere but I'm afraid it adds to much weight on my bag to hold for tok long. So, I'll use my notebook when I'm not at home...or just put it at my launch pad and take it with me. My habd bag comes into the bedroom with me at night, and ge6s put 9n tge kaunch pad as soon as I come out of my bedroom in the morning. I designsted that as its home for 2 reasons. For one. It means it's akeady there and ready to ho incase I need to ho anywhere, even at the lady minute. And 2. My launch pad is by yhe back door, in a centrao area of my home, so it's easy to grab it whenever I nerd domething out of it, without having to carry it with me all over the house. I've bern putting off creating a control journal for so long, because I kept over-thinking the whole process. I felt like zi needed to know exactly how I wanted in it, and exactly jow I wanted it irganised. I was afraid to mess up. I was cheating myself out of such a valuable topl that my ADHD brain desperately needs. I mean, if I can get my house looking better. And create better habits and routines. By focusing on a littlecat actime: if I can do that, not lnow the gull nig picture yet of jow I want my home and routines to look yet. Then I can do that with my controlol journal. My vision of how I want my jome. Is devoliping as I'm working on it. And it will grow and change ad my nerds and progress changes. I need to have thst same approach with my control journal. Thank you so much for always reminding us, adding a lityle at a time. And considtancy are way more important than diving all in and trying to fo it all perfectly ❤

You can always go back to the routine because they are fast and easy to do. We have all had kids and most of our members have children now. Write your routines down and check them off during the day. When. you are able to get back to them you will see where you were and what still needs to be done. Doing daily routines gives you more time to play and have fun with your children not to mention the all important free time for you to catch your breath.
