It has a short term importance of helping you to get admission into some colleges. For IIT, NIT you have to be above the minimum criteria set by NTA or IITs.

Btw i also want to go in research area in the field of material science and genetics engineering! I know both fields are very different but i want to do research atleast in one of these two areas! I am pursuing EEE degree from a tier 2 college! What would you advise me(if you want to) regarding the research area in which i want to do research?

I will not be super active on youtube. But I will try to upload videos in between. My suggestion for you would be to do research internships. Find research labs working in the field you are interested in. Send them an email that you are interested in working on a research project or for an internship. Or you can apply to standard research internship programs. This will help you build your research profile and gain practical experience.
