Thanks!
When you mention #5 a chronic illness rider do you mean Living Benefits which covers Chronic Illness (LTC), critical illness & terminal illness?

Yes but I’m most concerned with the long-term care part of it.
I personally don’t use an IUL for my post tax accumulation, I prefer VUL as I have full control of my investment options and flexibility. IUL is interest rate sensitive and a general account product which is subject to significant material changes in reference to the cap rates, etc.

I like VUL but it doesn’t have the volatility buffer component like IUL does.

@@DavidMcKnight That’s actually incorrect, VUL’s have structured investment options that offer downside protection and attractive upside.

@@danielleon5074 like a zero floor? Or more like a RILA where the floor is -10%.

Anywhere from 10-40%, the client can choose the level of protection. There is no engine such as the stock market that has created more long term wealth for individuals. A properly diversified investment approach which is built to weather any volatilitystorm in conjunction with the clients risk tolerance can make for a favorable outcome for individuals with their long term planning needs. I like IUL for their secondary guarantees and primarily for death benefit, I prefer retail / institutionally priced VUL for post tax accumulation where I’m not relinquishing all of my control unto a general account product such as whole life, UL, or IUL.

@@danielleon5074 I’m afraid that wouldn’t work as a true volatility shield.
Great IUL education. Please What are the top 10 companies to buy IULs from.

I can tell you my top two if you email to info@powerofzero.com.
You mentioned the sweeps, what if the carrier has monthly sweeps? So the client is getting 12 segments, what do you think about those type of sweeps?
@DavidMcKnight

Not the end of the world.
@TheOpinionSports

@@DavidMcKnight I didn’t know some companies don’t sweep for 3 or 4 months. That seems like a terrible deal because of once those segments mature you are tied to the performance of only those sweep dates.
I am glad you covered the comdex part in this video,that was the only thing I felt was missing in the 5 things your LIRP should have video..There are some carriers like Securian who will not give you the option to choose an Index on the portion of funds you took out as Index loan..whats your opinion about that?
@DavidMcKnight
Жыл бұрын
Yes Comdex is critical.
@DavidMcKnight

You mean they put it in an index, just not one of your choosing?
@kriskris5989
Жыл бұрын
@@DavidMcKnight thats right,there is an index loan account,we can’t choose the Index to allocate the funds to on the portionnif funds we take out as Index loan..They have a variable loan option which lets you choose what Index you would like to put your money in,I think they have a guaranteed cap of 1% above fixed rate loan which is 4%..
David,I am an agent in Olathe. I was told about Sagicor financial.No complex but ok Best, financial. Do you work with agents?

Send me an email at info@powerofzero.com and I’d be happy to give you two companies.
Isn’t the coi and charges already calculated into the premium that you’re paying? So, in that sense are you really losing money if your cash value is earning 0% and your monthly premium pays for the coi?
@DavidMcKnight
Жыл бұрын
You’re still losing money technically. But remember there will also be years where you aren’t paying premiums and you get a zero credit.
Great video.. Finally you are also admitting IUL can lose money!! So far, I heard from all advisors that IUL cant lose money!! LOL.

Thanks. I’ve said the lose money part in about a dozen other videos. ;)
