Amazon Aurora is a MySQL and PostgreSQL-compatible relational database built for the cloud, that combines the performance and availability of traditional enterprise databases with the simplicity and cost-effectiveness of open source databases. Amazon Aurora Serverless is an on-demand, autoscaling configuration for Aurora. It automatically scales capacity up or down based on your application's needs. With Amazon Aurora Serverless v2 you can scale database workloads instantly to hundreds of thousands of transactions per second and adjust capacity in fine-grained increments to provide just the right amount of database resources for your application needs. There is no database capacity for you to manage. You pay only for the capacity your application consumes, and you can save up to 90% of your database cost compared to the cost of provisioning capacity for peak load. In this session, you will learn how Aurora Serverless v2 can help you operate even the most demanding database workloads worry-free and how you can get started today.

Displaying number of new users/votes to be displayed on cloudwatch dashboard how was that done?
What if I were running my RDS using x2g instance, i.e. I need like 2 cores only but tons of RAM? Will this be expensive to use Aurora Serverless? I get 2GB RAM only/ACU...

Hi Anum, great intro! Two questions from my side: - does this means that at least the cost of Aurora serverless will be the minimum ACU we have selected even if the DB is idle? - Is V2 able to support Data API? Thank you!

I can answer your 1st question. Yes, there is a minimum 0.5 ACU required which means you will be charged a min. amount even if DB is idle.
