I did camp posting last year and I loved it big time. But this year my health keeps me from performing composting jobs or leaving the state. I was working in Oregon and I would love to go back there in 2025.😮💚💚💚👍

Glad to see another video! Your channel was one of about 2 or 3 that helped me and my wife make the decision to live life on the road. It was a fun 2 1/2 years!
Should do a day in the life of work camping. Fixing the equipment would be interesting.
It was great to see Roe's smiling face! You two look very happy there. I love hearing the wind through the pine trees. It makes me want to get outside and just reminds me of so many peaceful places we've camped. Hope you guys have a wonderful summer there!
Man you ain't lying about the hard work. I grew up around camp grounds and helped out once in a while.
Don't forget Texas and Florida for the winters !! We love to work kamp at the state parks!

Question: Is it possible to do work camping under the table pay?? I would LOVE to do this❣
Most excellent. They are very fortunate to have such muti-talented young folk. Way to go, Kiddos.
This is so cool! Can you guys make some videos all year long on exploring the park and other similar things? I’d watch that all day long along with all your other content! lol
We went from a small travel trailer to a 31' 5th wheel and it's made traveling for six months much, much better. We bought the Cougar 27SGS because it has access to the bedroom and bath with the slides in. We put in solar ourselves and boondock whenever possible. I think you two will love it!
Wonderful news, David! I’m really looking forward to seeing how your summer goes, and I’m excited about your new videos. I know you and Roe will do an excellent job for the camp owner.
Just started my first camp hosting job as well in April! It's a great gig to get paid, see different parts of the country, and travel on months off. Hope to see you guys out there!
So glad to see both of you are happy. Good to see.
My wife and I did the same thing at Pisgah National Forest- Davidson River Campground for 1 1/2 years (served as hosts). Good luck to you both. Good to see your still at this. We miss seeing you guys on here. ❤❤
Great to hear you guys are workcamping. I'm currently up in Mammoth/Gardiner working for Yellowstone Lodges. I think you guys will really enjoy working here. It's great being able to have so much time to explore the park. Maybe some time we will happen to see each other out here. Hope you enjoy your summer.

This will be my second season in Yellowstone.
Think outside the box. My boyfriend has a CDL, so his workcamps with different shuttle companies. A lot of times, the company has a connection with a camp ground.
I love how you guys are always willing to try different avenues to reach your goals. I'm looking forward to seeing your experiences. It's all about the journey! Thx for sharing.
whohoo welcome to the workamping club. glad to see ya'll do what we do as well
David and Roe, we are really excited to hear about this adventure. Thanks for the update. PS we thought we were doing good with boondocking when we were in a campground only 7 days all last year, but dang.... 2019. You guys are the boondocking OGs.... 8)
How exciting! I'm glad for you both! The camp work sounds like hard work but gratifying! I think your 5th wheel idea is fantastic, hope it works out!!!
Just got back from Yellowstone, stayed in the area for two weeks and camped at Baker Hole nearby and at another campground on Hebgen Lake. You're going to have a great time. I actually lived in that area for 12 years and worked in the Park year-round. Work camping in Minnesota the last 2 years but might consider going back to Montana.
Congratulations on y'all's new gig! 🎉 Good to see the both of you! Nice to see a couple living the dream.
Sounds fun. I’ve looked into this type of work. So many want a “couple” and “if” they pay it is often Pennie’s. I’m glad you’ve found one that lets you keep both campers and pays you for your service!
We sold our Arctic Fox 26X TT in '18 to buy a AF 27-5L fifth wheel. It's just under 30' so very manageable, and also 4-season insulated.
We workamped at Cooke City last summer. It was nice being near the Lamar valley. Also be sure and take your vehicle (not your RV) through the Beartooth Pass. Easily surpasses the million dollar highway in Colorado.
Loved this video, David. This has renewed my interest in work camping for the future. We stayed near Yellowstone a year ago but didn’t know about this place. Great ideas and I look forward to watching your journey this summer. Super excited too about your possible move from 2 RVs down to the one 5th wheel too. All sounds great!
Hey, that campground looks incredibly peaceful! I’ve always been curious about how work camping really works out, so it’ll be great to get the inside scoop from you. That 5th wheel looks fantastic-spacious yet not overly large. We have a 40' 5th wheel, and moving it is always a drama. I keep telling my wife that I’d like to downsize someday, but she disagrees since she’s not the one doing the towing or maneuvering. Anyway, great video! Looking forward to seeing how this journey unfolds!
Been workamping for 9 years as fulltime. Work six months off six months Great way to see our country.

Great to see Roe again!
Wow I’m happy for you. Roe looks happy, so do you. We may be seeing you this fall. We are heading to glacier, then down to Yellowstone. This resort sounds like a great place to stay. Checking prices now.
I was literally thinking about you guys the other day I miss the live streams and chatting with you both during you travels I'm glad you both are doing well. love you guys stay safe and stay blessed!

OMG! Loved this video and I am so excited for you two and for the news about buying a 5th wheel!! Miss yall so much! Can't wait to watch all the videos about your work camping experience!
Good video. What do you have for law enforcement support? My brother was a sheriff's deputy in Wyoming and always enjoyed the campground patrol (even though it meant a lot of after hours calls). He did both Nat'l Forrest and private campgrounds. He has lots of history of coming out to a campground to set some rowdy campers straight, to having those campers become model campers in the campground (mainly from his approach of coming down hard on the offenders yet, giving them the opportunity to redeem themselves unofficially...no citations). On another note, when my parents retired, they did a winter in a RV park in Arizona. Mom was disabled, and many days all she wanted to do is sit outside and enjoy the warm weather. Dad on the other hand, was a kind of individual who always had to stay busy. He ended up helping the RV park owner almost every day on maintenance tasks, just to stay busy. When Mom and Dad left the RV park at the end of winter, the owner refunded all their fees, because of all the work Dad did for the owner. Cool owner! Hope this gig works out well for you in the long run!
Nice looking campground. Love the pines 🌲. We may work camp when I retire in 2 years, I’m not opposed to it but it depends on the money really. My thought with work camping is on days off we can see more of an area at a detailed level. Good luck on maybe getting a different Rv 👍🏼
you two are probably some of the most honest and hard workers that she's had so I hope she pays you well stay cool
Love this for you guys ❤ Looking forward to keeping up on your new adventures.
Hi David & Ro, Thank you for the video and update. I will be looking forward to the next one.
That's a great gig! Good luck to you both

Good video. I'm happy you are trying something new. Can't wait for your next video.
Love your videos, the information and how you present them. I would love to camp there sometime.
So good to see you kids still living the dream. I'm still running the roads but hopefully for only 2 more years. If things go well I hope to start my own RV resort.
Congrats on the workamper jobs. Look forward to posts during your stay. Yellowstone and Grand Tetons are so pretty. Thanks for sharing.
So happy for y’all! Looks like the perfect gig for you two!
My aunt and uncle did work camping in Wyoming after they retired. They would come back home to Iowa in the off months and clean a church to keep them busy. They have both passed on, but I know they loved it.
So cool for you guys !!
Great to hear from you! Might stop by!
Haven’t seen yall in a while. Watching now! 🎉
We stayed in that campground in fall 2020 during our last trip to Yellowstone. Other than the rough dirt road it was great.
Cheers my friends!
Roe, love the smile, whatever you're doing, keep doing it. Girl, you look INCREDIBLE!
What a fun and interesting update!! It's great that you are trying new things! Beautiful campground! Wish I could visit. Have a fun and memorable summer of 2024! Colette in Las Vegas ❤️
How cool, first time heard about work camping sounds like fun to me.
Sounds good. Make some vids showing what you do if possible!
I enjoyed your video, camping again.
Great video. Just curious of how you will store the supplies in the truck topper after removing it for the 5th wheel. I’ll definitely be staying tuned in.
Nice! We wanted to Workcamp but it was hard for us to commit to leaving our remote jobs. We both kind of said if we get fired, that was our plan, but it never happened. After four years on the road, our rig got hit by a freak tidal wave, so we never got the chance to try it. It honestly looks really fun!
Sounds like a win win for sure
If you haven’t already, be sure to do the Lone Star Geyser hike. Totally worth it. Our eldest lives and works in West Yellowstone. She loves it.
Glad to hear you guys found some good income that fits your lifestyle! I would love to do the same someday! Couldn't think of a better place to spend the summer. : )
Cool dude! I mean Roe and David, we did that at a local park here in Cali! Decade ago. When we just got together. ♥️✌️
Good luck with the new gig both of you. Also selling your rigs as well.
We just visitors Yellowstone for a week earlier this month! It was so beautiful and that weather was nice! What are the hours and pay?
How is the AT&T service there? How about Verizon? Thx guys
What do they pay you? What’s the average pay for work camping?
Anything in west Yellowstone we went to the grocery store ikes it was not good. Have you gone up to ennis it has a great grocery store 😋
So how did you find that campground?
How to get information for working hosts

Was the required hours for both of you or combined hours?
Is that campground motorcycle accessible with a big touring bike? Thank you. Good video!!

What are you doing for non-government health insurance during your 6 months off? I presume health insurance is provided with the work camp employment?
How do you deal with campgrounds reporting the total annual value of your RV site on your W-2? For example, if you stayed 16 weeks and the site would have rented for $500 per week, at the beginning of the next year you will receive a w-2 from that campground which will include your total hourly earnings PLUS $8000 income for the fringe benefit of site? (16 weeks x $500 per week site rent free)
@FateUnbound
13 күн бұрын
Personally, I wouldn't work anywhere that reports the site as income because that's a massive tax burden to bear when you're already not making a lot of money. The place we work at now doesn't report the site as income because it's not an actual site they ever rent out to anyone. It's specifically made for workampers so they're not losing potential revenue by having us stay here.
i want to go that. just don't have a clue on how to do it. plus. it is just me
😊😊
Didn't Roe have a remote job?
A fifth wheel together? You're going to need a bigger truck.
@FateUnbound
3 күн бұрын
Nope, it's a pretty small fifth wheel by today's standards. It's 27' long and its GVWR is 9900 lbs . Our 3/4 ton diesel truck is rated to tow a 12,000 lb trailer and its GCWR is 22,000 lbs

Yeah we purposefully bought more truck than we needed to pull this small trailer just in case we decided to go bigger. I love my truck and have no intentions of selling it to get something newer any time soon.
Love you guys, but the part about women doing the expected cleaning jobs probably isn’t going to go over well.
Hi David, be very careful buying a new RV. The RV industry is still putting out junk. I know you you'll go through it with a find tooth comb.😊

Why didnt you just double down on youtube when you were hot, no need to work camp then. Larry

They covered this in an earlier video, I don't remember the name of it. Roe has/had a hard time with the negative nancy's on the internet (trolls) and it really affects her mental health, so to stay true to herself she is no longer going to be in the videos but her and David are still together and I completely understand where she is coming from. All the judgement you get on the internet would wreak havoc on my mental health as well. Good for her for doing what is best for her - although I would love to see more of Roe as well, we have to respect her choices.
