I’ve been having a rough few months. And I’ve rlly been trying to become close with god. It just wasn’t working. This morning I decided to pray for the first time and I asked for him to give me a sign of hope to believe in. This is the first day that I’m starting to feel hope. I rlly do think that he heard and listened to me.

my heart hurts, but this video is only telling me I'm on the right path- thank you, Alex. I needed to hear this.

Today i hurt. This hits me. But my hurt reminds me of the gift of love Ive been blessed with by God. I hurt because i love, and im sure Jesus has been hurt because he loves us. This break up i think is God giving me the opportunity to feel his pain. But also, the fact that my hurt is prove of my genuine love, proves that the love gifted within me by God cant be diminished because this breakup hurts just as much as my last. This means that i never gave anyone the ability to take my love away from me. And I can’t take God’s love away either. So embrace the hurt if its for the protection of you and your ex’s longterm peace. Because that pain is not a weakness, that pain is evidence of the gift of genuine love God put in you. Stay hopeful. God is faithful too so that pain wont be forever or in vain if you are faithful back (admittedly this is something i still need to work on)

I met a girl and it seems like all the prayers I prayed led up to her at first we weren’t God centered then after two weeks I watched her fall in love with God. She prays over me and over my food. She’s the first woman I’ve ever had that with. I made the mistake of scrolling through her Facebook and it hurt me. I seen her past and I know I have one too but she wouldn’t tell me the truth about hers. I watch myself change from the hurt of her lies. Yesterday I gave up. I don’t want her to go back. I don’t think she will but it still hurts. I feel like I failed her and more importantly failed God.

I hope you’re healing from the break up. Honesty is really important in a relationship. I don’t think you should feel like you’ve failed, especially if you were honest and open about your past and there was a safe space for her to share hers. If she truly gave her life to God and has repented, she won’t go back to her old ways. She just needs to accept her past and be honest. If you still care about her, pray for her.
