Hi. After you have entered the pool rounds for IEC, how long did you wait to receive an invitation for IEC?

I believe I waited only a few days, and my partner was a few days later more like a week. We entered right before the pools closed because I didn’t know about it, so I feel very lucky.

Hi just wondering if you needed to show proof of a job offer when you got to the canadian border? I've heard you don't need a job offer but just seeing what your experience was like? p.s. I know you mentioned it in the video but I'm just stressed 😅

Technically no but I had mine printed out and then the border security asked what I’m doing for work and told him I have a job at Whistler. I was stressed to! But I got in fine. Ill be uploading an arrival experience vlog soon! When do you arrive?

If I want to imagrate to canada is it easier to come thought on that working visa then? Or do it through express entry

Hey Jack! I’m not totally sure, I don’t know too much about EE. But you can always do the working visa first as it’s easier to organise than EE and you can see what you think about Canada and then start the immigration process while you’re here.

Besides your resume, did you also attach a cover letter as Canadian employers request?

Yes I did! I think the cover letter is good to explain more about your situation, how long you’re planning on staying etc.

We did our biometrics on the 29th of December and received our POE 7th January. So only about a week!

Thanks for the video! Can you show proof of funds with a foreign currency? Like Australian dollars or pounds 💷?

Thank you for watching! Correct it can be in a foreign currency but it must the equivalent to the amount in CAD. So for instance in AUD we more than $2500 because our dollar value is less than Canada’s. The date of the proof of funds must also be within the last 7 days I believe.
