Getting my residency Its not as easy as we thought

Sarah is still working towards getting her temporary residency as the spouse of a Salvadorian, but its not as easy as the couple first thought it would be.

It's all about money, like anywhere else, in this world. The government workers, made the things harder, to make sure, all foreigners that are thinking to become legal residents, don't see the process, so easy, it's not to frustate, people, but to inflict disappointed and not to go through the process. That's all.

Hello and welcome to my beautiful country. 🤗🤗🤗 Sorry for the delay in welcoming you 😅 I agree with some comments here and yes in a lot of countries it is difficult to process residency. I remember when we started the procedures here in USA it was not easy for us and you even have to learn EVERYTHING about the country to pass an exam. It's a nightmare to be afraid of not passing that exam😬 but in the end it's understandable, is their rules. Please don't be disappointed or frustrated with the process, it may change at some point, but for now continue with every needed step and God willing, very soon you and your family will be celebrating... remember time flies 😊 Take care! 🕊🙏🕊

Thanks for documenting all this! I'm gathering all the papers I hope to need before going to El Salvador. No way I'm going back to Norway for anything - I'd rather jump into a volcano. Hope you can make an ultimate list when you're done with the process (fingers crossed everything works out soon). Even the Freedom Passport ($1M) application is unnecessarily convoluted. It asks for a passport that's notarized. You'd think passports would be inherently verifiable, right? They never ask you for muh notarization or apostille at the airport... Bukele still has a lot to do. It's not like there's any handouts for foreigners, so it shouldn't have to be complicated. The only way to get by is to provide value to others. The alternative is of course to get by from crime, but then they can easily throw you in prison. Hopefully it's the first and last time I'll ever have to move to another country.
