Getting my Life Together with a New Routine - A Cinematic NYC Story.
Life has a way of just getting busier and busier. Adulting in New York City has taught me two things: Stuff will always come up and a routine is essential to staying grounded while navigating the storm we all call adulting. From balancing my 9-5pm job with my creative work. To learning more about myself through therapy, life is teaching and testing me in so many ways.
I've been living alone in New York for a couple of months now and it's taken me a while to adjust to my new normal. In an effort of stimulating greater productivity I've tried to bring back my 6am morning routine. Which.. yeah it's still hard to commit to that.
Nevertheless - this was a journey.

Amen to that 🙏🏽 thank you for the words and encouragement!
May I add something..this is coming from the book called "Authentic" by David S. Winston and he says this, "Jesus was carpenter by trade, but that job in carpentry didn't encapsulate His full calling. It was simply a Season and an Expression of His purpose at that stage of life. This means you can be living out your purpose while working at a job down the street as XYZ company, even if you have a ministry calling. You can be discovering your greatness while you are clocking in every morning at the job or sitting in class at school. You can undergo development in obscurity. Remember, somethin Inside of you is always being developed (if you are willing to participate). Preparation is necessary to accomplish the purpose."

To my brother D. Dames. This video was more than a vlog or video this was a video diary or journal. An intimate look into your bravery walking into this new season of finding you, bettering you and discovering peace of mind in solitude. We’ve never met, but I feel like I know you. Your videos evoke so much emotion in me as a man. I’m happy to walk this journey with you bro. Thanks for amazing content!

Aye bro the fresh cut is all we need sometimes to just feel good or put us in a better mood 😂
W vid as always the way you articulate your thoughts and put them across inspires me to do the same and journal every so often. Don't forget about therapy within your routine your past vids have helped me go out and start seeing a therapist once a week after being convinced it didn't make a difference when in fact it did and has been since. 😅
Wow, Bro this was a movie!! I appreciate you taking us on this journey with you. The 6am routine is deff not for everyone so I'm happy you are using it as a tool when needed. Also, when I have off days I repeat verse "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" 2 Corinthians 12:9
This guy is at the top and he’s not even there yet
Proverbs is such a good one for wisdom, you should read it with enduring word app it helps if you ever get stuck and it goes into depth about it from scholars, it helped me a lot when I started reading my bible again
My man! Excellent, shot selection, amazing, storytelling, all of it. Made my day to see this one today. Thanks for the inspiration bro

This is insanely good content, I've watched all your vids man keep this up your work ethic is crazy and we gotta respect it keep it up king
What I figured that works best is learning your chronotype and operate your lifestyle based on your chronotype. Very effective. For example: I'm a bear so it's ideal for me to wake up around 7:45AM and get important work done around 10AM. Gym for me is ideal around 2PM or 5PM. Find your chronotype and get back to us. New subscriber. Looking forward to your growth, bro. Keep the grind strong.
I’m here for this!!!!!!🔥💪🏾
Loved so many aspects of this video..or should I say short film! The quality, the shot composition, the color grading...its all next level. Also all the points you made really resonated with me. In my late 20s, I am learning to be okay with me and silence the noise. I'm finding that isolation is helpful and you're never truly alone because God is with you. Being with just him creates a different kind of peace. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. New subscriber here!
Man Thank you alot for Motivating creators out here. Love from Germany
I feel you, today at 42 I barely work and earn enough to live the lifestyle I always wanted (im not rich) and all that was the results from hard days works, lots of grinding, keep it up, that ethic never fails!

That's a fact - work ethic never fails. We trying to get to where you're at 🙏🏽
Always happy when I see you post a new video. And I felt the part about solitude. Idk how to explain it but I’m more myself when I’m by myself and taking the time to enjoy things around me. I’ve never been very big on having group conversations but one on one I can talk all day at least about a topic I know a little bit about.
Appreciate all your hard work. You're realistically relatable. I've finally learned to take days off with no regrets and ENJOY DOING NOTHING if i choose to. Peaceful vibes, introspective, & great content!
Hanif’s book, There’s Always This Year, has been my favorite reads this year.
love your videos, super inspiring. keep going, buddy!
Leaving a comment just to say I’m loving the vibes and the interludes and the city shots. To experience all that, life, setting, energy vicariously through you is why I’m coming to the channel right now, and this video did that really well. Appreciate you.
Man when I see the video is almost an hour long, I already know im going to have a great evening. Thank you for the awesome upload again, your hard work and dedication is really showing through your work and uploads. Make sure to look after yourself too man. God bless!!! You are awesome man!

You have a very unique style going on throughout your videos. Normally, I don't comment on KZread videos, but I'd like to make an exception for this one. These long-format kind of videos really bring me down and make me relax. It's like a story (hence the chapters) flowing really smoothly. The perfect mix of balancing life, views on different topics, tech, and much more. Learning a lot and these videos are opening up a lot of insights for me. It's the small things that do it for me. I love the transitions (audio) btw. Keep it up, and keep following your vision and path. You're perfectly made for this. Good luck. I'll continue to enjoy your videos.
Another incredible video! 🔥 At 28, I can relate to so much of what you discussed. Your articulation is spot-on and has really helped me understand my own feelings better. The part about solitude and awareness resonated deeply-it's such a double-edged sword, and navigating it is a real challenge. Thanks for shedding light on these important topics!
I commend you for filming your life like this it's alot of work and time consuming. Life is all about balance you figuring it out and have the right mind set. I'm 30 and I'm figuring out it's no longer days you will have stretches as a content creator where it's long months but the tools you have around you will help you turn your work around quickly. I feel it when you say you feel like you gotta keep working and you do but you will get to a point where your workload lightens up and you have Time to appreciate things.
Just found you today and man… I must say, this was dope and on time for me. It often amazes me how people you don’t even know, in various places in the world, are going through the same familiar journey…experiencing the same waves of human emotion, etc. Makes me feel less alone and more inspired to keep the foot on the gas 😉 Best of luck to you bro. Best of luck to all of us. 💚

Damn bro, i really enjoyed that video! i kinda enjoy the lenght you do from time to time, get's me thinking for real about my own stuff...keep doing whatever you're doing, be you and only good will come to you.
i love long cinematic voice over format videos , well done mate
You're going crazy on the camera angles! And I feel you on AG1. It's the only supplement that I've felt immediate effects. This vid was such a holistic and realistic diary of juggling intentional, spirit-led adulting.
I'm very grateful to have discovered your channel. I really resonate with your content and direction in life. I have been on a similar journey trying to create equilibrium in life. You have such an authentic energy and I love how open and raw your talks are. This video was one of my favourites. It's great to see you adjust and embrace your solitude. I've grown to see solitude as one of life's blessing. My solitide allows me to connect to God on a deeper level, connect with myself and my values and vision for life and simply be still in the present moment. There's a sense of peace and humbleness that I gain from being alone. I hope you find that too. P.S. I love that track, the view is breathtaking. You've inspired me to hit the track again myself. May the Lord continue to renew your faith and draw you closer to Him on your personal walk with Christ.
As a New Yorker, your videos make me cherish the city a whole lot more. I gotta enjoy it more, especially before I go off to college. I’m now motivated to get some city content now😂. Fire video (it’s a movie atp) btw. Love the editing, cinematics, b roll, background music, everything
thats so amazing man. again.

Come on, poet. I think what I have learned from your channel is optimizing your life. The idea to live one way or the other is NOT an option. There was a time in my walk with God where I did not understand optimizing time spent in every area of my life... because this life is more than work, or school but of fulfilling his purpose for our lives. Thank you. P.S. This is probably one of the longest comments.😂
