Getting Grohl Our Irish Wolfhound

Ryan left early on a Friday morning to meet the Irish Wolfhound breeder in Iowa. Grohl and Ryan had to travel almost 5 more hours to get back home. Our youngest was napping on the couch when Grohl arrived and was able to be greeted with a kiss. The older two kids were at school and had no idea, so we left it as a surprise meeting. We ended the day with a stroller ride to the local homecoming parade and some playing in the living room. Grohl was super calm during the marching band portion of the parade. We didn't introduce him to any other parade dogs due to his age and lack of certain vaccination boosters. He spend the evening trying to eat his name tag off his collar, unsuccessfully.

Ohh, I almost cried, this is exactly how it was when we got our baby :D And now he's two years old and 70 kg heavy. Beside that still a puppy.

That kid is going to forge the unbreakable loving bond with that dog
My neighbors had one when I was a small boy. It would stand up on the fence it was absolutely huge.

They are a beast of a breed but oh so docile and loving. Originally used as a hunting pack dog.
Best dogs ever! We got ours when she was 8 months old and she was nearly full grown. I've always wondered if they grow so fast as puppies that you can nearly see the difference day by day.

Had a deerhound. Yes, it's a short but ideal time. Best dog I ever had or could imagine. Every day was a delight. "The most perfect creature under heaven."

I took on a six year old woolfhound 18 mo ths ago. She is still healthy, happy and the most amazing canine friend I have ever had the pleasure of sharing my space with. I weigh in at 40kg my girl a huge 63kg. She is as gentle as a lamb. Beautiful breed of dog. Now I have had a woolfhound, my only fear is how will I ever live without one in my life ??

One time I was walking my ish wolfhound, and there was an old lady passing by but my dogs tail was so long it literally took her out 😭 then I made sure she was ok and ran like hell back home 😮💨

Wolfhound Grohl ,but the best ones are from the country there named after....................especially the Catholic ones..............
We have an Irish wolfhound mix and he’s the most wonderful animal on the planet. If he didn’t shed his own weight in hair daily he’d be perfect!

One morning, I came downstairs and looked at our IWH puppy and thought, "Darn, that dog grew last night." But being an adult, I knew that wasn't possible, so I didn't say anything. Layer my spouse said he thought the same thing. But our 5 y.o. didn't know it wasn't possible, so he looked at the dog and said, "Puppy grew last night!" That's how fast they grow.

How is he doing?
Was he put in a stroller because he had not had all his shots yet, so to keep him free of contracting them?
NO puppy yet. First kennel, no pregnancy. Second kennel, only two females and already promised to other people. Third kennel is expecting puppies no later than Sunday. She has some females promised so depends how many female puppies are born. Starting to loose hope 😞. Keep your fingers crossed everyone for me. Or hold your thumbs as we say in Sweden. I would get a male but all my friends have male dogs that hate other male dogs. Went through that with my Giant Schnauzer Max and having a female will be much easier, especially when it comes to dog sitting for each other
She was just telling you she was a star student and you completely ignored her and carried on about the puppy.. FFS

What the hell has the grass got to do with a puppy homecoming, who is clearly loved, by the way? It's more important to have love than a freshly mown, perfectly green garden. Some people live on misery I'm sure.
