Regardless of more females playing they have practically completely forgotten about the male ones. They really need to come out with a dream bundle for like Eric or Beast (give him his human form) something like the Belles dream bundle and make it more masculine for a change. Even though I run around as a male fairy lol I still need more male items 😂

I'm a female player, but I like to switch between male and female avatars. I especially do this for Dreamsnaps. I definitely want more clothes for my male characters. And I would buy a Beast/Prince Adam bundle in a heartbeat.

As a male player, I have to agree. It gets to the point where I feel like I need to make my avatar female just so I have enough variety of things to wear in Dreamsnaps (also the female clothing is usually more visually appealing as well, and the "costumes" while cool don't really help much with tags). I have to say it feels a tad bit insulting that they don't think male players should be able to enjoy a game full of Disney character interactions (or if they do, they don't back it up with male-focused clothing very well).

I like the idea of a Beast bundle. They did it for Ursula, so why not Beast. Yes, more male options would be nice.

I kinda look forward to the "stale" periods of Dreamlight Valley. That way I can focus on other games for a little while until the next update. It would be overwhelming for me if there was constant new content.

Good point lol. It’s different for content creators tho; overall viewership takes a huge dive between updates and then we get slammed with everything at once and have to balance the sudden influx in activity with creating all new content. 😂

The Forgotten. Our alter ego the Forgotten plays such an insignificant role in the game after she comes to the valley. She should be giving us quests, we should be interacting with her way more on a regular basis. I really hate her demonic voice!!! Side note: instead of new character show about making more quests with the characters we already have, that probably would make for less crashes and glitches. This game needs to consider quality over quantity.

Sometimes watching other people play it or break it down is a lot more fun for me than playing myself so watching someone else play is what i do when i dont want to lol

I want more pants, trousers etc. Not all women want to wear frilly pink dresses 24/7. I had hoped that Daisy's Boutique would have given us more gender neutral options, but nope it's a nothingburger with the added insult of another useless in-game currency & ridiculous time constraints. Also WHY DON'T WE HAVE A SEARCH BUTTON, IT'S 2024 ALREADY.

Even if they didn't want to do two diff outfits for Daisy's quest, the shirt could have been a bit more unisex

I still think the eternity isle story was suppose to be act 2 but they decided to make it a dlc for multiple reasons (money, the fact that on old consoles they can't add new biomes etc because of thz limits..) I also feel like the skull rock shiuld have been part of that story and it feels like they completely forgot about it. Merlins was suppose to think about it MONTHS ago and since then we talked a lot and he never mentions it... Maybe im weong but thats my theory

I love Captain Jack Sparrow, but yes I agree there are so many other characters I´d want before Jack. Especially all the Disney princesses and characters form their movies!

I’ve occasionally swapped to a male avatar for dreamsnaps. They could do with more options . Outfit rewards should definitely have two versions for both sexes. For the new wings, I really don’t like how they sit on the avatar so I didn’t get them. :(

When I first started playing online games, I played Farmville on Facebook. Loved that game till they stopped and deleted it. Now I play Sims 4 when I feel like it, Roblox games, and Disney. I was introduced to World of Warcraft and played it for 10 years till I hurt my wrist. I had stopped playing DDV for a year due to real life but came back to it in March 2024. I have enjoyed the new characters, Star Path and mini events. I don't push myself to play it for long hours and enjoy helping my daughter on her game as well. My daughter is the only one that comes to my valley and she likes to do stuff in it but I don't mind. Thanks for the video. Found you by accident but enjoy the live streams as well.

I absolutely loved FarmVille! I wish there was an app version of it 🙈 I also still play the sims 2 sometimes!

I was getting little bit bored of this game. So I decided to redecorare my valley/houses,because I have lot new stuff. Now I been obsessed with this game again, which is kinda really bad timing for all glithes etc(I play on switch)

This Starpath was such a grind. Some of the fishing was pretty challenging, I also wish they would add new duties instead of repeating 20 dreamlight tasks. Looking forward to a break between updates to focus on building again 👍

We need more male clothes 100000% !! But also just more clothes in general is needed…… They haven’t added any new clothes to the Scrooge shop since launch 😭 I would love more colors of the pleaded skirts, it’s one of the few things I wear & there’s only three color options

I like the fact that in between trying to reach goals/star paths, etc, it’s a very relaxing game for when I just want to decorate or clean up or gather resources while watching tV.

I take lots of short DDV breaks then ‘do the rounds’ of my other go to games - Dinkum, Coral Island, even ACNH gets some occasional love. ‘Game-hopping’ is essential for me to prevent burnout and prolong enjoyment of games I’ve sunk so much time into. I also make sure to mix gaming with tactile pursuits like crafting, gardening, cooking - cozy pursuits plus cozy gaming 😄

That's a great advice with taking a break from a game when you are bored with a game. It does work for me at least. Also I think a lot of games just have much better female clothing so it's not just DDV. Love the Dress for the new wings. It fits it perfectly

I, pretty often for outfit challenges, switch to a female avatar because the men’s options are so bad 😂 if I can get away with a male avatar, I prefer it!

I must be a fairly slow player because I couldn’t dream of being bored with DDV yet 😅 here’s my ever growing to-do list in the game: finish decorating my valley (only about 30% done so far!) begin decorating eternity isle, finish story and friendship quests, partake in the dreamsnap challenge each week, work on current star path, level up all characters to friendship level 10. Phew I feel so busy in this game and I’m so grateful for that!

I haven't played DDV for a few months... Actually I only played the DLC when it got released for a few hours and then stopped playing the game fully. I still enjoy watching your content and maybe in the future I return to the game again. It just felt like an endless grind for resources and it got boring to me... I'm totally addicted to The Finals right now but that's an entire different genre of games haha.

I work on the dreamlight tasks like fishing, gathering and mining are my last three dig I'm still working through. I try to dedicate a day of the week to a deep clean, then one day a week to storage resort and I do the same thing for the isle. I do this so I have a reason to play the game everyday even if it's only for 30 to an hour. Trying to finish all the dreamlight tasks have added a new challenge to the game and having days set for clean and organizing is just so therapeutic to me

I play alternating between a male and female avatar depending on my mood and what I want to wear. I have found that some of the skirts actually look better on the male presenting body type like the fancy red, green, and wizard skirts. I want Pirate of Caribbean characters so bad. It is the only live action movie I want in the game other than Hocus Pocus, but I want them both done in a cartoony style.

I went to buy pumpkin seeds and everything in goofys stall was invisible today but luckily the print showed up

I have 3 or 4 games I rotate through. When I'm sick of one I play a different one. If I'm sick of all of them I look for a new one to put in rotation. Works like a charm

I’ve been playing My time at Sandrock and Potion Permit lately and they are awesome! I’ve played Wylde Flowers and Coral Island as well, loved them!

Taking a break every now and then to go enjoy other games are so worth it. Recently delved deep into Sun Haven (great game btw!) and came back to my Valley full of unfinished and new quests while grinding star path, making cupcakes and fishing for buttons like crazy before it all went away. Needless to say, I was not bored 😅 Now I have more inspiration again for dreamsnaps and decorating while trying to complete as many quests I can before the next update! I've taken breaks previously to enjoy diving into Coral Island which turned out to be a new favourite, and also returned to Stardew Valley for their 1.6 update and I can see myself jumping between games a lot without ever feeling bored.

Again, love the video, Mr. Star In Sky! I enjoy your videos because they are always so interesting. I watch you and Serroh almost every day. I hope you have a good rest of the day. I can't wait for the update bc I love Mulan. I really hope Mushu is part of the new update. And I agree with the Reddit post, we definitely need Jack Sparrow soon!! He is also one of my favorites. I just don't want any Marvel or Star Wars characters at all. :) I do also want more to Forgotten/Remembering story. We definitely need more story lines for that and hidden areas and maybe a few puzzles too.

I will usually do this in between ddlv updates/when I’m done creating dreamsnap, finished friendship quests, completed star path, and any grinding/decorating I need/want to get done. Lately, playing ddlv on Switch has been negative but hopefully the game gets positive sooner vs later! 🤞🏻🙏🏻🎮

Honestly the only games I've played for years and years and come back again and again are Minecraft, Stardew Valley and Skyrim and that's after dropping for many months and just coming back when I feel like it. What also really keeps me coming back for those is the incredible modding community which adds so many creative things to the game and multiple saves which doesn't punish the player by wiping out previous work. I "play" DDV nearly everyday due to the store dynamic using the real time clock and some days I'm logged in for 10mins and some days I'm on for several hours but sometimes I don't really want to play and just tell myself "whatever Scrooge had today can wait" So far in a year it has held my interest and it's a game I'm never really done with cause I take it bit by bit. Could the game get better? of course it can, but I will play other games while the team does their thing and watch youtubers like MrStarinSky play the game cause it keeps it fun. If the game is stressing you out, try other games there's SO MANY great indie games, there's also great indie horrors games if you want something different, there's crime/detective indie games (Scene Investigators, Observation Duty, Subnautica, Dredge, Cozy Grove, Harvestella, heck I even found a game from a dev team of college students that made a game out of the paintings and life of Francisco de Goya and as someone who took art history I found this game so fascinating and a true labor of love) like I'm not sure why be locked into one game forever. And many games go on massive sales or some are free on steam and other platforms if budget is the issue.

Animal Crossing new horizons hasn’t had an update years and they only had like one update. The game is what you make it. I sort of enjoy not having a ton to do for a while. When I had tons of quests it was overwhelming at times. I just log onto DDV for a shorter amount of time now.

I always use DDV as a palette cleanser for me after playing a huge 100-200 hour jrpg. After going through the jrpg I usually need some downtime before I wanna jump right into a new game and this scratches that itch.

The breaks in between updates are definitely good for other games. I tend to no-life the new content when it releases. I do about half of it on release day (so I can watch all y'all streamers without spoilers 😉) and the rest over a week (Starpath usually takes a couple weeks), but then unless I'm redoing an area or there's a new premium item I'm super excited about I just log on to check Scrooge and get my blue chest most days. I still do my regular valley cleanups several days a week, but I've been enjoying playing Planet Zoo and now Palia instead of sinking all my time into DDV.

DLV could give us swimsuits to get in the water

i pop on to check my shop then come off, i haven't even got Oswald or touched the new DLC stuff despite owning it, i'll get back to it once the new update drops, i just need a break, games in my rotation are Fall Guys and SDV, i don't play many games as i'm always on YT, Netflix or listening to music while i do my diamond paintings

What I did is I wore a jacket over the shirt. I looked super goofy without it 🤪

I originally started out with a male avatar but quickly switched over to female when I realized the best outfits were geared more in that direction (and most of the male clothes look just as good on the female character). I do appreciate that they let you go back and forth and you aren't set with the same gender from the beginning like a lot of games. Also, I obsessively played DDV for the first two months, but since I finished all the quests and have almost everything, it's become one of my "play a few minutes a day" games (games like Pokemon Go, My Singing Monsters, Animal Crossing, Wordscapes, etc.). I log in to check Scrooge's store and get my blue chest every day but don't really do as much with it on non-Wednesdays/when I'm working on my dreamsnap. Playing it casually with many other games has helped me not get burned out or feel it's really repetitive like a lot of people.

I think the inconsistencies in placing items is the inconsistency of the devs. One is more in tune than another who is doing lazy work. When you look at cabbages, that is lazy work. Did they not check it, play it? I doubt it. Just like lack of details on me house, that is lazy work. Wouldn't it be nice if the villagers wished you happy birthday, AC does it. Ariel drives me crazy, she's like that doom and gloom person obsessed with ursula taking over the island. That's all I ever hear her say, lol. I put her back in the water, lol. The water pump had stopped working now. One day the lights work, the next day they don't. I wish we could visit eternity islands, you'd think they could give option in machine for those that have both. Or have an option to upload your island or biomes so someone doesn't just come to your island. I think some of the games creators did in ac could be so fun in ddlv. That's what dreams are made of right?

DDV is the only game I play at the moment. I've played 777 hours so far and I'm still loving it! I even wish I had more time for it, even though I don't have any quests left at the moment. I think it's because I just really love decorating in this game. There are still biomes that I want to decorate further so there is still plenty for me to do! I wish I had more time to decorate. My guess is that those who are bored, don't like decorating very much and then I can understand that you are a bit bored when you have done all the quests. (sorry for my English)

I just switched to potion permit. Got sick of the frame drops the items disappearing. Constant crashes, and finally realized venolope was from part 2 and not 1.

I love wearing the "male" Forgotten outfit - that suit rocks! Don't care much for the female version of it, tho

I think one thing to keep in mind MrStarInSky is that while your player base is primarily female, that doesn't include all DDV players. It could also be that the male population follows a female DDV KZreadr. Regardless while I don't mind wearing the female attire, I do think they should have more male options. Daisy could've had two mannequins and asked, which out speaks to you more, both could've been pink with the reward being a dress or suit/jacket w/tie. As for Jack Sparrow...don't need him. I would much rather get Captain Hook. I agree on taking a break with the game. That is what I do. I also take time with the new character friendship paths after a new update. I am still getting new items in Scrooge's store because I don't go in everyday.

Star weird question but what do you do if you don't feel like making a video. I know you post everyday but has it happened and what do you do when it happens?

Not all girlies wear dresses or anything remotely 'feminine ' the last time I wore a girlie outfit I was 11 and it was under duress...😦

DDV is the only game I play but I'm cool with that. I'm an old Nintendo junkie (may even go so far as I remember playing the original Mario and Zelda on Atari). I have definitely played enough games in my life I'm quite happy to retire and simply play DDV happily. I'm not even slightly bored with it yet and I do play all alone by myself. I think I'm boring by nature so it works. When I get bored of the game I do Dreamligh duties or take a few days off. Since they do keep adding content I can't see myself going anywhere (and the glitches and other issues, and I play on Switch so there are plenty, are annoying but I have faith that eventually they will fix them). I completely agree though. If you are getting bored, play a few other games and come back to it when you feel like it.

When I get uninterested or the game becomes "stale", I will normally switch to a different game. I've been really getting into the different simulator games or I like to play horror games like poppy's playtime, outlast trials, garten of banban, the forest, sons of the forest, bigfoot and some others. I also just like to play cozy games. I try to play different genres and types of games so I don't get "burnt out" on gaming in general.

DDV and Splatoon 3 are the two main games that I play. I know, they are completely different 😅. I play one till I'm bored of it then pick the other up. Also depends on which one has new content at the time too.

I feel GL are alienating male players with the Daisy rewards being a classic example of this. Look at the touch of magic items…no shorts or trousers included so us guys cannot make complete outfits. I play DDV with my 8yo son and our avatar is based on him and he gets awkward when we are forced to dress ‘girly’ in the game. He is well adjusted and understands that some boys enjoy dressing as girls and is accepting but this task makes us both uncomfortable. Why are there no sports outfits and so little clothes for guys? It is a real missed opportunity. We love the game but a greater effort is needed to accommodate us guys. Thanks for all your great content 👏🏻

I agree, no pants in TOM is disappointing

I know it’s been bad for some people because of the glitches but I have to be honest I like the fact the games not perfect and some of the glitches are really funny 😊 and I was thinking about how many characters they are going to have in this game I wish like dreamsnaps we could have a different character every week that would be fun just one day maybe it would give us something to look forward to and use in dreamsnaps ❤and can it be tigger first lol x

I’m not bored per se but DDLV is on the back burner right now. I still log in every day and decorating is fun but there are too many games out there to focus on just one. Currently I’m playing Octopath Traveler 2.

I agree the mechanics of the game are so basic

I definitely don't want constant new content, i can barely keep up now. We just had 2 new villagers, a star path(worst one yet both in tasks and rewards) and the disney parks fest(one timed event at a time please). I have a full time, physically demanding job so i am extremely tired when i get home. between that and my rl demands i get an hour or so a day to play if i'm lucky. i try to get more time in on weekends but i'm still tired, still have rl stuff to do and when i do play i have to work on my dreamsnap which usually takes quite some time. if it hadn't been for someone giving me buttons/flowers i wouldn't have gotten the popcorn buckets. i barely have the time and energy for this one game let alone others. and that's to say nothing of the money needed to buy other games which a lot of us don't have extra to spend on them never mind all the ridiculous micro transactions.

I honestly feel like if they made a sims styled game that was only disney with disney maps, characters, clothes, decor, that was customisable and had photo and build version of dreamsnaps a gallery for sharing items, photos and stories that had a store and dlc both sims and dreamlight valley would be forgotten so fast 😂🤷‍♀️

I have hyperfocus, so I play everything. From combative games to cozy games. I'll get bored of a game and then go to another for a while before I go back to the first game. ADD. Ain't it grand? lol

I am part of the female player base but I prefer suits over dresses (the dress animations are weird imo) but I'd love to see someone make ToM drag! Also, I know of some games that don't have a lot of content but make up for it with a wide variety of mods. If Stardew Valley can do it, why not Disney Dreamlight Valley? But sadly that's a decision that sits with the devs.

I love Disney Dreamlight Valley alot also but i Also play: Hogwarts Legacy (i love the magical world of the Wizarding world) Star Wars The Old Republic (SWTOR) (WoW was my first MMO but i just found i enjoyed SWTOR way more) Pokemon Scarlet & Violet (i like to shiny hunt every now and then) ACNH (use to play it Alot still do on occasion) Marto Kart 8 (Occasionally) Pokemon Unite (used to play it alot but now i play very occasionally) I also watch Anime some of my dream snaps have been sort of anime inspired 😁

Watching this, listening to criticism and forming opinions but I've never actually played this game and don't plan to.

Jack may make me play the game again. GL is focused on a money grab as their #1 priority. Until they change that mindset and bring back creative and fun quests and fix the glitches, I am, unfortunately, done with the game. When the glitches make you cry it is time to walk away. I would much rather pay Singularity Six to keep Palia running rather than spend another dime on DDLV.

I would love to play Disney Dreamlight Valley on my main account. I have not been able to get into my main account since May 1st when Update 10 dropped!! I hate that they have not even addressed this yet!! I haven't even had a chance to get Daisy or Oswald and no blue chests, no DreamSnaps, no moonstones for voting, no premium items.. Aaaaaaahh!!!! I am so frustrated and want to play and want all the moonstones I have been cheated out of. Sorry... Just venting, but what do they say when I reach out. Sorry you are experiencing this. We are aware of the issue. Rest assured we are diligently working to fix it. So what do they do? Try to fix the cupcake problem with a HotFix! Does it fix my main account? NOPE!! STILL CAN'T EVEN GET INTO MY GAME!! CRASHES BEFORE IT LOADS!! And, yes, I do have a second account which has waaay less progress and thankfully I can access this account, but, what did the HotFix do? Made everything so much worse. I am starting to think I will never be able to play my main account again!! I am so so sad. I have over 4,000+ hours in my main account!! 😡🤬😞. SIGH... I just want to play my game.....

I'm sorry but i really don't like Johnny Depp. So i sure hope he won't show up in DDV as Jack. Also i think DDV should stick with cartoon- and Pixar characters, not real movies.

I know this is a dumb question but is there anyway to make nightthorns grow? I didn’t put enough time into doing the battle pass and now I’m grinding missions to complete it. I’m mostly done but I don’t think I’ll be able to do the 21 night thorns in 40 hours. My valley is super duper clean 🧼
