Just want to say that I love your Vlogs! I love having something on while I crochet or while I’m just relaxing & I feel like you and I are just hanging out and it’s really peaceful and nice. I feel like you’re refreshing because you have a life more like mine than a lot of people on the internet where you are introverted and you spend time at home and you kind of enjoy the little things and the mundane. So it’s nice to feel like representation for a regular life where you’re not just overconsuming and go go go and everything is aesthetic or whatever. Just feels honest and realistic. When you say discipline is your self care…..that hit the nail on the head for me. I feel the same way about my anxiety. Exercise is literally like taking a Prozac for me. When I stop for a few days, I FEEL it and start to spiral.

I’m glad to see someone else reacts to a good thunderstorm like me. Everyone around me complains about the rain. As a self proclaimed cozy girl, I live for it 😍🙌🏼

As someone with depression and anxiety I feel this; journaling has been my self care but at the same rate cleaning and making myself do the laundry or clean off the counters helps relieve my anxiety, stress and depression! You’ve got this girl!

The rain is really coming down. I like that kind of rain only when I am indoors. Thunder and lighten. So perfect.

Fern your content is so good for me, I just spent two days down a hoarders binge watch while I took care of chores around the house. I woke up with mad anxiety. I have a big move coming up and felt super overwhelmed today. You’ve totally calmed me down while also inspiring me to approach my healthy habits in a different way. You seem so excited to get back into them and I rarely see it that way. It’s always just a huge letdown cuz i never stick with them, so now there is so much aversion….thank you!!

Any artist, whatever medium of choice, needs to set a schedule even if it is 9-5, thats what you set. You can't work 24/7, that's insane. When you are on a roll it's easy to just keep going but you are going to burn out. For longevity, set yourself regular "me-time". Schedule black out time , no compromise.

Dear Fern, Thank you for posting this video. I’m in a bit of a sticky situation in my home life, and last January something bad happened to me that caused me to give up on boundaries and living well. I told myself what’s the point, if I know bad things are going to just keep happening to me. Prayer, God, and my church community were always my lifeline in these times, and yesterday I finally decided that I am going to reclaim my life. Today I am cleaning up my space and writing down my boundaries, and taking charge of my home life situation-which has ups and downs, but I think I’d overall on the rise. Thank you for being honest and vulnerable with us.

Hi Fern. Love your vlog. Meditation is a great de-stressor. Have you heard of grounding? This is where you go outside and put your bare feet on the ground for at least 20 minutes. Need to get back into meditating and walking again, it just helps so much with my mental health but the weather is so rainy and the days are getting shorter fast. Pff winter depression is here.

I listened to My Best Friends Exorcism audiobook this summer and loved it! I also listened to The Southern Book Clubs Guide to Slaying Vampires! I was inspired this year to see how many books I could read and how many audiobooks. So far, more audiobooks than physical but, I’m a busy mom so I have to get a book in somehow.
