If anything I feel like this interview actually gave us a lot without explicitly saying so and I feel like that's all you need to actually know about Sam. He puts on the character of a chaotic enigma so well that its hard to decide where the character ends and begins but that's just Hyde, I think one if his crew mates explained it perfectly when they said "Nobody knows anything about anything," Basically saying that you don't know and knowing isn't actually all that important. EDIT: And maybe thats not the intended message but I feel like that's the lesson I learned from this video and it's a good lesson to learn imo.

The ending really makes one thing clear: Sam is never serious because he’s terrified of being vulnerable. He uses bravado and meta-irony like a security blanket. That's kinda the whole "controversy" around this video. Dubbz wanted to learn about Sam and his life but Sam and his crew said nah I guess and completely trapped him in thier bit with no escape. Is Sam to sensitive about his past or something or is he just completely stuck in his high school phase? Anyway, it's not as simple as Ian wanting to do a supposed "hit piece" on Sam and getting all defensive about it. There was NEVER any malicious intent in his previous documentaries, so why the hell are poeple just assuming the worst all the sudden!? Besides, BOTH SIDES have kept footage from us, so it can't be taken at face value from eithers videos. We don't know everything and that's the only truth here.

@@memegazer I have my doubts that she was acting. Also as soon as Ian started asking about Dani Sam shut him down immediately and said everything was fake. It seems like some meta-irony. Ian sees that his girlfriend is clearly on drugs and apparently off camera she told Ian about how Sam beats her and abuses her. Then when he is confronted about it he does the whole "what? nah she ain't my girlfriend. I was just joking." Sam also said some contradictory stuff about her. He says that he has known her for a long time. Then he says he thinks she is the friend of an ex from art school as if he doesn't know her that well. He also says that she was on drugs before she met him but then says she doesn't do drugs and that she does hair and nails. The biggest red flag with Dani to me is the fact that she was the only one who didn't appear out of character once it was revealed everything was fake. Everyone else was there at the end to say "Yeah everything I said was bullshit lol" so why wasn't Dani there too dressed and acting normal so she could be like "Yeah I bet you really thought I was crazy putting my hands in your pockets and asking how much your head weighs." Idk I don't think the Dani stuff was fake.

You gotta appreciate how much Sam has planned out his little documentary with Idubbz. The girl that shaved her head to play Sam's girlfriend deserves an Oscar and a Nobel Peace Prize for her performance

Partly... but the part where he was saying the humor must be edgy and inappropriate to be funny really related to him. OG Ian still hasn't gone past that stage, he just doesn't want cancel culture to fuck him over. He's still the Gay N word F word that he always swears about. Thus the "Irony" speech.
