After 1 year of not getting Sam my Dane into our car, using this technique, today we did it in 5 minutes! Thank you!!! Opens up so many things to him now!! We’ve been prisoners!!!
This works brilliantly! Sam is a 150lb Great Dane who hates car rides! I use hamburger as the treat because regular treats won’t cut it. Today I reviewed this video again to refresh my memory. He has a mouth injury and must be seen by his vet and I’ll be alone taking him. Tried this a few weeks ago for his annual visit and it worked so perfectly I couldn’t believe I did it alone.

I have an Akita and he struggles with the car. I was having a hard time finding videos with big dogs and with sedans like this.

I've been spraying the Adaptil into the seat of car not on bandana....and I've never put leash on car seat....wow....hoping this helps.....my English Cream sweet boy has not been getting into car and high anxiety at 6 -- he's been in this same car since puppy and is a trained certified hospital pet therapy dog. We had to miss visiting patients last week when he refused to get in car...I'm going to try your techninques Thanks!!!
