You know what works good to clean them wheels ? Sand paper 👍👍. Cleans the cloth polishing wheels great

Yes My preference is for the leather strip, over those junk cardboard wheels. Paper wheels works well but they delaminate as they age, but years later the leather strop is still working strong.
I turned my buffer around. I can use the top of the buffing wheels which allows me to see my angle much earlier..

I’ve actually installed a guide bar on mine and now using the small knife Tormek holder when using the cardboard wheels.
Low speed or hi speed ?
The most dangerous tool in the workshop is what I always say .
