what most people dont know is that the abec rating is not based on speed the abec rating is based on the friction the bearings have so abec 1 is a lot of friction and abec 9 is less friction but just because it has a higher abec rating it doesnt mean it goes faster it just means that the bearing wont produce so much friction so the bearings also lat a little bit longer than the lower rates.

Abec has nothing to with how fast your bearings roll it is measured by dimensions bones reds bearings don't have an Abec number/reading people seem to be obsessed by the Abec number most of the time when you spin your wheels by hand they don't seem to spin very fast but when you push and ride on your board the momentum of your weight and the wheels and bearings spinning and rolling together with the ground also it takes abit of time for the bearings to break in so they can roll faster with the wheels, trucks can make a difference in the way the wheels turn because if one of your hangers is damaged or not made right at the factory that can make a difference to the performance of your wheels and bearings the hanger could grind against both!!!!
