He seems like a grounded gentleman. Essentially, this will be his first meaningful start. Being against #2 in their barn will be the ultimate test. He will learn a ton on Saturday, win or lose. I see him still in 'thinking mode' as opposed to 'reaction mode'. He will have to lead this team to a minimum of 35 points on Saturday or it will be a boat race. Good luck, young man.

You could see it all over his face last season that he was in thinking mode...especially when the call was a passing play. He is the single biggest x-factor for this team right now, and if he comes out Sat night looking more like he's in reaction mode rather than stressing his whole body over reads/decisions, this team can be really good.

As a Alabama fan I sure hope you Notre Dame fans are right. If I’m being honest the QB y’all got out of the transfer portal Sam Hartman looks to be a much better QB though. Wouldn’t surprise me to see him have a lot of success with Notre Dame this season.

I see Tyler as the new version of the BYU Steve Young. Buchner isn’t afraid to stick his foot in the ground and turn it upfield as a ball carrier, but he can probably catch some secondaries cheating and out of position in the passing game. Anxious to watch this season unfold for him, Tommy’s offense, & the entire Irish ☘️ team.

I hated to see Tyler get hurt in the Marshall game . I feel they expected to much out him, being a duel threat QB . I hope he forgets the interception and focuses on getting healthy and getting back on the field. He competed hard . Go Irish !

ND sitting at a 17.5 point Dog against OSU seems odd to me. Maybe it's because the college football committee who ranks these teams has ND at a #5 and OSU at a #2? A spread that large feels like a #2 hosting a #12 or lower ranked team. So either the oddsmakers are insane or the committee did what it always do concerning ND by giving them way too much juice.

OSU can put up 40 on community colleges all year long. They aren’t against a top 10 defense in the nation. It’ll be a close game but I bet OSU still wins.

First respectful Ohio St fan I’ve seen. I honestly think Notre Dame is going to lose. But the absolute disrespect being thrown towards ND is unjustified. I have a lot of respect for the OSU program, but I’ve lost almost all respect for the fan base after this off-season leading up to the game. Good to know that not everyone is a douche good luck to your team as well. Let’s hope that everyone plays injury free and it’s a great game.
