Lmao 4 days after I had given birth to my son in my early 20s, I stopped by the store to grab a few things for dinner on my way home from Dr appointment. I shuffled my way over to the diary section, slowly opened the refrigerator glass door, and when I went to grab a gallon of milk I made this super loud grunting sound - then another loud grunt when I placed the milk jug into my cart, then made a huge sigh as I closed the door. Lol I swear, I hear this “OH MY GOODNESS” and I look over to see this tiny little old lady staring at me and she said “Hunny, those are the sounds I usually make when trying to lift a milk jug! You’re way to young to be sounding like that! Here . . . let me call over my grandson to assist you . . . I bring him to the store with me because he’s just so strong!” I start laughing as she’s calling over this tall lanky scrawny teen to come help me 😂😂 I immediately thought about Nick’s grandma telling him how strong he is for lifting the milk. My grandma had come around the aisle looking for me and she was pushing my sons stroller. Once that old lady realized I had a newborn she was like “oh I am so sorry, hunny! No wonder you’re making all these grunting sounds! You should be at home!” Then her grandson followed us to the checkout and helped us carry our 2 milk jugs to our car. I thanked him and said I really appreciate the gesture. This kid said “No problem ma’am! I’m happy to lend out my incredible strength to you ladies!” And I think about that moment all the time over the last 10 years.
