Ann, thank you for this video! I just completed 25 of these lovely ornaments, though I made them with the idea of hanging them on the wall in those odd little spots where nothing really fits - but still needs a touch of love. They really turned out lovely and I wish I could show you! They are not Christmas themed. They all have birds, butterflies, or a scripture verse on them so they will appeal to all of our neighbors. I try to make a neighbor gift each year for our neighbors and a few close friends in town. They say they love being remembered, and that is what I want to accomplish. Now to "wrap them" in the white paper sacks stamped with a greeting and attach a tag - readying them for delivery. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Ann, I love this. I've been doing it this way for years and it surprised me that everyone didn't do it this way! LOL I just yesterday laid out 6 letter size pieces of paper on newsprint on my kitchen counters. I cover them all with a nice thick coat of modpodge and let them dry overnight. This morning I prepared the napkins I wanted to use. I cut my glued paper to the size I want for my cards, iron the napkins on well, trim the edges and I'm ready to make 24 cards with them. You can run them through an embossing folder and it just looks fabulous and really sinks that paper into it's backing paper even more. I use this technique when my crafty mojo is sleeping and I need to get back into it. Napkins are so beautiful now and they don't need to be expensive. In fact, the least expensive are perfect as the backings come off easier! LOL Your little tub of napkins.....well, I think I have an equivilent of about 20 of those! All seasons and holidays. I have done a commission where the napkins from a wedding are used to make cards that the bride and groom use to send their thank you's for the gifts they received. It becomes not only a card, but a keepsake for the recipient. Oh, the fun we crafters have!!♥
So cute! Absolutely a great gift!
Well Ann, this is a nice little something different, and it is the first time I have seen this platform and what it can do. I always wonder what new items will come out each year, and then think beyond 5 years. and I think there will be heaps and heaps of new things to work with. I wish I could think of some ideas that stampers might look forward in the future….and just when we have thought there is nothing else for our crafting, new things will shown up, and most of them are game changers. Thank you so much for sharing this fun project and platform with all of us today. Sincerely yours, Patricia in New Zealand😊
What a neat project. This would make a nice gift for someone. Thanks for sharing.
Ann, that is the best napkin method I've seen, thank you so much for posting, awesome! 😊
So pretty! I think I'll make these for Christmas gifts. Using the iron is a great idea to minimize rips and folds in the napkins. I'm just to sure how you did the hang bow. Could you add that in your next video pls? My bows are always sideways and I can't figure out how you did the hang part. Thanks!
I like your channel because you don't just make cards, you have other crafts as well. So thank you. The door wreath or whatever it's called was really nice.😍👍👌💖

Oh wow, I love those!!!
Another request for your beautiful bow technique please x
Lovely idea. I also think you could have them reversible too. For example...one side Christmas themed...one side another holiday or event. Double purpose!

Try it!!! It's so easy x
Lovely as usual
I’ve seen multiple people do napkin decoupage, and have bought a few napkins to try it but so far I have not. Now I’m glad I didn’t because no one showed this method of heating it on dried Mod Podge. This looks 100% better than the ones I’ve seen where they put on Mod Podge then while wet, the napkin, and then more Mod Podge. They always seemed to have some wrinkling or tears, and were always having to be so easy and care. This looks so much easier and prettier. Thanks so much for this video because you’ve inspired me to truly give this a try now.

Wow what a lovely idea ❤ will be trying this very soon x
Beautiful 🤩
Top tip to separate napkins, I bit of sticky tape. Stick a little bit on the back of the napkin and pull!
Great idea! You can use a small piece of tape to remove extra napkin layer too.
Beautiful
Love these
This is a brilliant technique i can't wait to try it. Thanks for showing us x
Love this - easier way to make coasters too! Thanks Ann!
What beautiful gifts these are!! I just read about the iron method recently so it's great to see it working. Another great tutorial, hun ❤️ 💕 xx
Great technique! Thank you!
Great idea Ann 👌, thank you for sharing. I can now put my encaustic art iron to good use. 😂
I was incredibly lucky a couple of years ago I won the circuit 2 along with everything you would need, the vinal, the iron the ame I think as yours and a pad with it for ironing on, it was from a craft magazine. I also have a great little travel iron that I use for wax painting. Oh I love the doggy napkin do you know where you got them from, you know me and my dogs lol. This is a great idea I've not seen it done like this before. Hugs X Ann x
Very pretty:)
Would like to see coasters. loved this one
Love them I shal make some for me and gifts x
So pretty!
I love this going to be trying this Thank you for a brilliant video
Amazing! I have to try this, thank you Ann.
Thanks Ann. I saw this last year when I was doing some coasters with napkins and it’s brilliant, no wrinkles or tears or anything. Thanks for showing us this yours are beautiful x
I wonder how you were able to get the large ribbon through the tiny hole in the wood slice and how you managed to tie such an accurate bow? I really look forward to your next video where you teach us how to make boxes for the wood slices! Crafty hugs from your German fan, Carmen , 64
They are beautiful. The bows of the bigger ones are so nicely made. Do you have a video that shows how they are made?
Ann, I love your channel! Your ideas are all so interesting and fun! Could you do something with wallpapers. I have a ton and do t know what to do with them. Thanks in advance!
Lovely idea. Might have a go.
I use scotch tape or washi tape in the corner of the napkin to pull the layers apart....much easier to separate layers that way.
These are so beautiful and would love to give them a go to sell at a craft fair, I don't have for it this year but I plan on being more organised next year, I did think it odd to let the modge podge dry at first until I read another persons' comment about how it would be easy to tear them while smoothing the napkin out, I do make canvas art but have never used modge podge, but then I didn't realise you can get different finishes in it either, may well have a look at some to try it in comparison to my usual.............thanks again for your inspiration Ann
The larger sized one would be a beautiful center piece inside a of a wreath. Very beautiful projects you're making ❤️
I've caught your most recent video, yay! As a new subscriber, I have been watching all your lovely Christmas card videos. I love white on white Christmas cards and the black ones were also elegant and dramatic. The Pyramid box with a twist will be going to some of my favorite people this year! Now you're in my feed so I can see your current videos too. Your videos are well formatted with clear but brief instruction and minimal extraneous material. You have a wonderful 'eye' for elegance - just my style. Love your sweet, calm voice (and that accent) - so pleasant to listen to. Thank you from Adelaide, South Australia.
