My brother actually has a super weak water move with a short enough cooldown and he's able to cheese solo fights until the pal is ready to catch. Thought it was worth mentioning since it's not always all about unga bunga power moves

Yep having weaker moves is actually more handy than having really powerful moves if you're trying to catch stronger pals. Lower cooldowns too

also worth mentioning that if a pal is using a skill different from it's element it doesnt get the highly effective buff when used on an enemy weak against it. Normally if a ground type pal use a ground type move on a lightning pal it will deal double damage but if for example a fire type uses a ground type move on an electric type pal, it still does increased damage but not double the amount that it usually does. You will see this because a text normally states that a move done is super effective when used with proper match ups

There's another tree you missed on the northern cliff directly west of the Elizabee boss. You can get there from the mount floppy summit travel point at 7:55 and travel south west across the water. It's close to 8 ore rocks

My base is built on mount floppie summit plateau, and can fit a base next to it by the ore nodes for an ore farm right by the base. Pretty decent spot, and is fairly central on the map 👌🏼

I built a base there and farmed that tree relentlessly until I now have one of the huge railroad containers full of fruits 😜

My base is literally right next to that first one on top of that waterfall... so yes, there is a quick travel point to it :D

You also can get abilitys to pass down from cross breeding pals. Theres a chance the offspring will be born with an ability from one of the parents. I bred an Anubis that was born with dracon breath from an orserk i used to breed it

looks like ya confused the health bar for the exp bar when talking about the Black Marketer, though that is still a lot of HP and good info on the ability to teach them.

Regarding the stuff at 2:50 about the Dark Laser not being used. Could it be possible that the Hydro Laser and Dark Laser share a cooldown as a "Laser Skill" grouping, and thats why it uses one but not the other? Easiest way I can think to test it, is to teach a Ride Pal 2 Laser Skills and see if you can use both while Riding it, or if using one triggers the Cooldown for both. The idea of them learning a skill that they just cant use doesn't sound like it'd be the case unless its a bug on the game's part, so the only other explaination I can think of is that both skills are a "Laser" and could possibly share a Cooldown?

Open your pal stats in your party hover over the attack passives and if you look at the icon that is displayed you can swap skills with left click on pc

I have a Lucky Lifmunk with Dark Laser and it can use it just fine

please do a video showcasing the pal active skills! No one has made one yet. least I can't find one

Also you get the fruits from traders. I know of three villages with traders and I have seen them sell skill fruits. Also the wandering traders sell them as well. I have seen purple rarity ones such as implode but that ones trash anyway so I’m not sure if they can have anything good.

I haven't gotten lucky with finding epic Devil Fruits yet. But I will keep at it lol

Would recommend not to have only power moves. I equipped my fighter pall with only powerful moves, so it unloads 3 powerfull attacks and just sit around for 15 seconds waiting for CD to go down. Its better to have a rapid fire move and some powerful ones, preferably aoe and not single target.

I just figured out what the intro cutscene means. Kinda feel dumb for not realizing already. You know how there is that giant tree way off in the distance? Well it's behind a visible red wall. The intro sequence to the game suggests beating all tower bosses will unlock the big tree island in the far northwest corner of the map. "The towers are the key.. the tree holds the truth.."

The number that is next to the "Next" at the top is experience needed for next xp level, the health is on the top right lol

I think pals prioritize moves in their skillset. and have global timers between abilities. Also the black markeeteer has 20k hp, :p you read his exp bar as his life bar oops!

I have a shiny Liffmunk and he came with Dark Laser... not sure if maybe they need to be shiny

When do they respawn back? Does it take in game days ??

Dark laser might share the same cooldown as the other one

I found an electric skill fruit on the ground randomly. Also souls can be found on the ground and respawn rather readily.

Hate to add a comment to my own comment but I found a Technology Book that granted a Tech Skill point when used (like eating food from inventory). It was in a purple chest that respawns inside Bromcherry Aqua's cave Not sure if the book will respawn with rhe chest but here's to hoping

Like there's a ability that boosts fire moves by 10% or an ability that reduces DMG from fire moves by 10%. Makes fusing and breeding the pals more fun

I gave a lamball a lock on laser, and a Ignis breath to a cattiva.

I found a tree at -37, -164 north of the petallia boss being about midway of the lake center and flopie sumit waypoints, on the cliff left of the elizabee boss fight.

I caught my first vanwyrm, and it is incredibly slow and has no stamina. Can I improve these with level, or do I need to catch more and condense?

u gotta catch more and try to get the runner passive ability, that will give it bonus %20 speed. Condensing doesnt do anything to stam or speed unless the pals special ability involves movement, such as the surfent. Your best bet is to try to catch a bunch and eventually breed the best ones together later in the game, as breeding takes a lot to set up. Good Luck!

Pal stamina is increased by their level and nothing else. So just keep leveling up and it'll improve.

which level can i get that armor you're wearing?

ive looked at maps of tree locations but a some of them are wrong. multiple maps say there are two of them on the plateau of beginnings when theres only one and they also say theres one right below the sea breeze archipelago church and its not there either. on the marsh islands i also only found one where a lot of maps say there are two right next to each other. either im insanely blind and stupid or those maps are definitely wrong.

I teach Implode on my Shinny Cremis and go bowling with it when something invade my base.

Speaking of lifmunk, all mine have stopped shooting, I can hear the sound FX but no damage. I've tried repeatedly to get it to work. The one time it did work was frickin' amazing lol. Tanzi still mows shit down like a beast though. My daughter's (we play together but separate computers/accounts) still work fine, the only difference I can think of is levels and I've got a daedream following me around. I should unequip my daedream and see if that fixes it.

No, they keep working autonomously without the player nearby. There could be some obstruction or lack of infrastructure that's stopping them from being fully automated. (i.e lack of food or low sanity from lack of infrastructure for them)

the game is still fairly buggy, especially depending on if ur console or pc, but you shouldnt have to be nearby. Mine wasnt working when i was gone either but what helped me was to load into it every sunrise, since i sleep away most of the nights

No you don't. I also have a metal base and that happens sometimes. I've found that it's usually because of a really big pal that gets stuck. Just remove them and put them back in and it should fix it.

Absolutely, BUUUUUT I've found its best to put on moves like Air Cannon, Ignis Blast or Power Shot. Shorter cooldown is nice but the main thing is that it doesnt really have a charge up animation like the laser moves so you dont have to just stand still in the middle of a battle. Save long moves for things other than mounts IMO

At 8:14 you showed the tree but not the location of the tree.

You forgot to show the location for 8:15. You simply start as "Now the next one often has..." but don't show the exact location.
