Your channel was on my recommendations ( I follow a few art channels as I am an artist myself) and I am so pleased. I subscribed after watching the first video (a chest of drawers with a floral paper napkin decoupage) .Where have you been all my life? I love your long, detailed videos. It is like being taught right there in your workshop. I have never tried decoupage (I was aminimalist for most of my life, trying to suppress my passion for painting ) and this morning I sketched three projects that I intend to start with all that I am learning from you. Thank you so much. Just watching the beautiful transformations you make bring me so much joy.

"tickle" and "smerging" I love the descriptive words. So funny, as soon as you put the black wax on the top of the table and it covered the flowers I actually gasped out loud! and just as fast you said, "don't worry", haha.

People must see the genuine to recognize the counterfeit. You have great talent and a gentle, patient teaching presentation. I almost went past your channel but saw the variety and was intrigued. I have broken both my replaced shoulders so my bent wings are learning while I wait for surgery. I’m 68 and will ply my trade until I die. It’s in our DNA.

Jonathon, I'm delighted to have found your channel. 😀 As you know your work is incredible. I was a bit hesitant at first when I saw you painting a beautiful piece. My mother had an antique shop for years & I've had 2 of my own. I was taught that it was a sin to paint or strip a good piece. That it took all of the value out of it. You have the ability to totally transform a piece & make it your own. Thank you & I can't wait till your next video. 😁

I'm extremely impressed with your skilled knowledge and ideas on this table. It so reminds me of the very dark furniture pieces with floral designs my grandparents & great grandparents owned during the 1930s & 1940s, there were also trays, framed artworks, even clothing & handbags for ladies bearing this deeply beautiful rich black & floral motif. You've recreated this look exceptionally well. Also. Please keep talking as I've learned much by listening. After watching I now want to attempt this decoupage style on a large ornately shaped/sculpted old rusted tray I thrifted...I've been waiting for an idea to handle it. Thank you so very much for your kind-natured time & help in bringing us this nicely done video. I am now becoming a new subscriber looking forward to discovering more of your channel.

Ooohhh...I raised my eyebrows when you covered the entire table with black wax...but, I have not worked with wax yet, having worked with ink in watercolor only... but you know, you just have to trust the process!! Absolutely beautiful!
