So,glad your wear gloves to pick up slugs. We use live traps and drive them far off to the fields 😂. Great tips Nicki, have a super week, Ali 🌞🇨🇦

Thank you, you too! 🩷 I can't abide picking them up without gloves on, they're horrible! So slimy!! 🤮 I'm not a fan of slugs!

If you only have a few brassicas, i put one of those white nylon bags that you can buy in supermarkets to put your veg in. Slip ir over the brassica & pull the drawstring relatively tight to stop slugs & butterflies laying their eggs. It looks like your garden is covered in candyfloss but...hey!

Ohh that's such a good idea!! Most of my brassicas were scoffed by slugs over about a 3 day period. They're still hanging on but look like green skeletons sitting in the beds 🥲 if I manage to get any more or get some to grow... I'll try that!😃 Thank you!😁🩷

Lots of useful info , thank you Need to go through your vid again & make some notes. I'm a 'have a go in my back garden' grower. Currently using bottle cloches & bottle slug rings with 2 x copper tape round. Recently tried dead brambles as a prickly barrier around young celery - woke up to a bunch of stalks next day 😭 Busy making more large water bottle slug rings now ! Carrots took a double hit - first partly dug up by squirrels, then tops munched after putting metal mesh over the pot to stop the squirrels 😞 Squirrels have picked off the strawberries while still green & we know they will rip the heads off the sunflowers as soon as they set seed from last year's action 😆 Tomatoes & cucumber doing okay in greenhouse but even they have more slug damage than usual to bottom leaves. Some evening evictions when I go to water & check on them. I'm pants at killing things so relocate slugs n snails to the embankment at the back of my garden for the other wildlife to ( hopefully ) deal with 🙂

The slugs have been AWFUL this year!! So many more than normal! I can't get down to my allotment in the evening time so don't get a chance to catch the little darlings in action, but they are destroying SO much! Pretty much all of my brassicas have been munched, I've lost a load of beans, squashes and cucumbers have taken a hit... and at home in the garden they've scoffed most of my flowers and all of my strawberries (all 3 of them that WERE growing!). About the only thing that is working well is manual removal, but it takes so long! Glad t hear you've still got some plants left, and having a go is where we all start out! :) Thank you for watching!
