Not necessarily tbh, for example they liked the Enzo looking dudes fit that was all vintage and had no brand names at all, but hated the guys fit that wore the off white shirt and clout goggles. Its more about how its styled

It`s pretty obvious they do. Obviously if the fit is trash, the brands don`t matter, but when they see a good fit, the brands they`re wearing can make a difference in rating, especially w/ Enzo.

I actually love this series and it’s refreshing to hear people that work in fashion talk about fashion so fluidly rather than answering direct questions of brands etc as you might see elsewhere. Everything that is said is 100% true, and a lot of people criticise that these guys only go for designer, but that’s literally what the context of these videos is - designer. Even if it’s not being a brand whore it also comes down to the fact that the majority of the time designer simply looks better. That’s why it’s designer. I love that despite so many negative comments Sanj still makes these videos. And rip Enzo, he gets so destroyed in the comments, but again, the context of this video is to roast the fits, not pat people on the back. Honestly my only complaint about this video is that Sanj didn’t change the backing music for the whole 25min video! Yo I think if I hear butterfly effect play on the radio next time I get in the car I might just drive into the oncoming traffic. Still ily Sanj keep up the sick content

I think that if I would send them a picture of me wearing uniqlo white tee, h&m black jeans and asos chelsea boots, they would rate it 3, but if I would send them a picture of me wearing basically the same outfit, but the brands would be balenciaga, acne and slp, they would rate it 8 as a "good simple go-to outfit."

You guys also (again in my opinion) need to be able to appreciate style even though it's not a style you prefer. For example, I generally like going formal and hate wearing hoodies as a standalone piece, but when I see someone do it well I can still appreciate that. Even though I don't like the fit as well but I think James brought up a good point at 5:56.

Take a look at the outfit where I gave a 9.5 to, I would never wear those chunky sandals & socks, I still loved the way it looked on the dude! If we say we don’t like it - it’s not because we’re unable to ‘appreciate their sense of style’ it’s more so, because it doesn’t look good (according to our opinions) Simple.

Yeah like I expressed to Enzo I think it just comes down to personal style. Like I thought those socks and sandals were some booty but... to each their own. I guess it's just a bit frustrating because I look to you a lot because I want to change my style at the moment but a lot of times I'm just picky and don't like anything that I don't already have (which isn't much). I just feel like there is stuff out there that I may like and I don't know it exists and so when you guys critique something that is not your style I really want to know *WHY* you don't gravitate towards it or why you do because it can then inform my own decisions based upon my own criteria. But it's hard... I know. You're killing it and I love this series.

I think the difference is the sense of style, regardless of what the pieces/styling are. Some of the fits clearly wouldn't be worn by these guys but they assess them fairly and appreciate them here. If you appear to have a less refined sense of style IE dressing for others, weak understanding of silhouette etc then those are the guys that really 'get roasted'
