Yesss! I just had a training about this at work! We were learning about our mindset, and how it affects our interactions with coworkers and students and one of the things we talked about was “toxic positivity”: when you are so positive that you don’t allow yourself to work through your emotions and feel sad, mad, etc. My stress relief is also makeup!

I lost my grandfather to suicide a little over a month ago, and I’ve found myself trying to be “okay” for everyone else and not giving myself the moments to feel the wealth of emotion that comes with grieving and processing a trauma. It’s okay not to be okay.
