This is not an attack on you because I feel like a lot of influencers feel like they can't outfit repeat but honestly it should be normalised, because it's actually fine? Like we shoudn't only wear outfits once and throw them out/sell them on depop/give to charity. The overconsumption of clothes is literally killing our planet

That's one of many things I hate about influencer culture. It definitely glorifies consumerism. I do love supporting different influencers but the culture itself can be EXTREMELY toxic

I live in fallowfield atm and it’s not the safest of areas sometimes but if you take precautions like not walking at night alone it’s okay but it’s so rubbish that we even have to think about stuff like that. There’s also a lot of stuff on the students Facebook group that helps with where to avoid etc. hope that helps xx

I’m off to uni this Oct too, I’m 20yr old girl. Kinda worried too lol. My parents r in the police, only advice I can give u is to never walk home after a night out alone. Always get a taxi, doesn’t matter if it’s 10mins or 2mins away. Also, since pepper spray/weapons r illegal, “mini hairspray” you know the ones you can get in Tesco? Rlly handy to keep in ur bag, acts as a legal pepperpsray alternative, can just spray it directly into an attackers eyes. Also a rape alarm is good to have on you. That’s all I can tell you :) stay safe xx

I tell this to all my girlfriends lol but I want to give my advice. alongside a rape alarm, if you don’t have one defo recommend. And also, I suggest every girl buys those “mini hairspray bottles” the ones you can get in Tesco. Baso, acts as an alternative to pepper spray when directly sprayed in someone’s eyes. Shld always keep both those items in ur bag wherever you go :) stay safe xx
