Luther putting her in the cell and the others half ass attempts to get her out of there was probably what did it. Vanya was like a bomb and that act made the fuse burn out, making it explode. They could've helped her by actually being a family and being there for he in general. If they had comforted her instead they could've stopped it

“Episode 7 Vanya can’t.” That’s a good sum up for her entire character the rest of the season. Lol.

Yeah lol, I thought the child actors from the flashbacks would be leading the second season, but they only really came back for the funeral scene? I'm guessing there were contractual obligations, or it was too difficult to make it work with various aspects of the schedule, or just the story they wanted to tell they realised would require them to be adults? Some insider commentary would be nice, of course. But usually there's contractual issues of _some_ kind or another behind various seemingly nonsensical production decisions.

I'd like to believe that Five was at first just thinking about them getting out of this timeline, but after that he remembers that he has to use his other equation to make sure they remained adults. Because when he meets his older self on Kennedy Day he tells him he found the right equation, so maybe that's that. I hope you get what I mean, english is not my first language 😅
