Does the course cover tipping/donations functionality or subscriptions? IDK what it is but I never get how they keep the authorization that long.

@@TheNewton Yes, it covers saved cards and subscriptions. In some cases, the user needs to re-authorize but they try to optimize for future usage stripe.com/docs/payments/payment-intents#future-usage

0:19 "Shopify *payments*" uses stripe, which is Shopify's _optional_ payment gateway. Confusing I know but they are separate things in practice.

After setting Stripe as a payment on your website, do client wishing to pay you have to create a Stripe account or can they simply enter their CC info? Thanks. 💡

I love Stripe, but unfortunately in Canada, their payouts are often 7 business days out which is a deal breaker for some of my clients. I've been using Braintree in those cases, not nearly as simple, but quite feature rich and powerful. I also prefer their vaulting system.

Is it possible to set Stripe as an intermediary between our consumer customer and our business customer? For example, the consumer customer pays via our frontend but the money arrives directly to our business customer's account. Thank you

Fuck Stripe, they don't support a single country in the entire continent and it has been like that for years now. That said, I'm sure the video will be useful for people in countries where it does. Thanks for the effort in your videos Jeff!
