If there’s one thing I learned from father banks, AIR DENSITY over anything else, boost comes along right after that. I just tuned my truck and she’s a little dirty, I plan on doing that elbow upgrade right after a banks intake and a banks intercooler

This is completely not related to the video, but I was wondering about the wheels that you have on the 1st gen. I have the same model MB wheels(18"x9" version). Do you happen to have the wheel centers from the front wheels since the hubs stick through? When i bought my truck, it was missing one and I've been looking all over for a replacement and can't find one.

You’re must have been changed before, because the stock one on my ram didn’t have the adjustable Allen head. It was just a straight fitting

you commented that the stock boost elbow had the same Allen adjustable pin (which surprised you) and it looked "almost exactly the same" as the DAP replacement. so whats the benefit of changing it? why not just adjust the stock elbow? other than that great video.

There is no boost adjuster in a stock turbo, only a 90* fitting that feeds pressure to the diaphragm. You can increase boost there also by increasing the pressure against the valve in the turbo outlet

Your idle sounded a bit high. But that is a great sounding 12V

Benjamin McCann 4” lol... but if my dually is just extra loud on the highway bc it’s got 4:10 gears and it runs much higher rpms at those speeds... which makes the exhaust even louder... but on a 2500 it would probably be fine

I can understand it but ya gotta realize that’s how he makes a living. Granted he’s got more things going on now besides this but back then I THINK this is all he did. Could be wrong. But you just have to remember that.

I have DFI(Ducky Fuel Injection) sac injectors rated at 230-250hp for 550? I got my 125hp for 400? those prices seem very fair. I chose dfi cause of great reviews and he is very local to me. i am actually in constant contact with him to the point where i drop of my cores instead of mailing them.

Not knocking DAP however the cheaper injectors are due to nozzle enlargement processes. Most 1000 dollar sets are Honed from a factory nozzle. Or they Use EDM followed by AFM to balance them out. They are great bang for your buck, however when pushing high hp that accuracy is what is needed! Keep up the good work, the DAP guys know their stuff

Horsetorques Diesel You stating facts? From hard evidence and research? Or just assuming that because they have good deals on their products? Because they have good deals on far more than just injectors... so just make sure you don’t assume and spread a bad word without having actual using them yourself. Appreciate the feedback though!

LOUD 'N' PROUD was not spreading bad word, just simply stating there is a difference in injectors enlargement process and balance standards. That’s why you pay more when you want tighter injection rates, needle and Pintle work, spray angle, hole count. It’s the same for turbos, a 2000.00 turbo that is balanced at .01% vs a 1% balance differential. You are paying for the high cost and high caliper manufacturing equipment. Too most it is not an issue, however at a certain point it does matter.

And in response to the first question yes these are facts of the Diesel Industry. Why are PAC Brake GSKs extremely cheap but Haisleys are so expensive, try adjusting idle, and it will answer the question. As I Stated before DAP is great bang for your buck, but I merely pointed out how they are able to be so competitive on pricing

No did not call, most companies will not state their process, just know the cores I receive from companies and what there nozzle enlargement processes were based upon nozzle inspections, and tooling marks

LOUD 'N' PROUD told them about my 06 white smoke cold start/rough idle issue when cold and how it works with throwing codes etc..way too much to type lol. But he was like..hmmm..nvr heard of that before weeeird..lol. Imma text the Cummins guy and ill call you back after I walk around anD ask ppl here..I keep dap on their toes with the most wtf issues

Nick R from what I've read it will work on the hx35 turbo which is on the standard trans trucks, it will not work on any 98.5-02 24 valves with auto trans because the stock turbo is an hy35

1994-2000 had the hx35. the 2000.5-2002 automatic had hy35. but the 2000-2002 trucks with standard had hx35 on them.

yes it will work. i had an adjustable one on my stock turbo on my 1998.5 24v(same turbo as you) and it pushed me from 26 to 35 psi of boost. now i have a sxe turbo with 60 psi of boost :P
