I’m now 41 years old and can relate to what you are feeling, but here some things I’ve learned: there will always be stress, but you can’t control everything, so find peace in things you can.. never forget your inner child, keep life fun and playful, and keep visiting your parents a lot, they will always see you as the baby they raised and love all your quirks ☺️

Just a heads-up, some lilies can be extremely toxic to cats, to the point that even licking some pollen off their fur can give them fatal kidney disease. I can't tell from the short clip what kind you have (looks like asiatic lilies? which are toxic) but please look into it and if necessary carefully remove the lilies from your house and take your cats to the vet. If that kind is safe for them, thank god!! And sorry if you already know, I'm not trying to accuse you because lilies are SO common in floral arrangements and not everyone knows they can be fatal for cats.

Lilies are self pollenating plants. its best to remove them from your environment, they are extremely toxic to cats.

A quote I often come back to when I start to get anxious about aging is "never regret getting older, it is a privilege denied to many" and it genuinely helps. When I was 23 I lost a really good friend to cancer and he's forever 24 and that's always a shock to my system. Life is hard and weird, but in the grand scheme of things we aren't here that long and we may as well try to find joy where we can. And we should normalize not equating success with happiness. I'm 100% at my happiest when I'm browsing Barnes and Noble and taking long car rides and listening to podcasts. Sometimes, most times, it's the small moments that make us the happiest and we always seem to forget that.

Everything you said after you mentioned your apartments, is very valid. I’ve always felt the same way. I’m very close with my family and I struggle not living with them anymore. I just turned 22 and I definitely relate to this struggle. I also had loud neighbors move in above me and it really makes me hate my position in life, it feels impossible to find peace. It feels like everyone's goal in life is to be happy, and for me the goal is to just be at peace, I'm tired of the choas. It feels impossible to be calm at this age in this society because if I don't work toward a future now I might be stuck feeling this way forever.
