Get good at blender by working through simple challenges to improve your skill level and learn new skills along the way.
In this video I make the Queen chess piece. It's fairly easy but do make sure you have looked at the pawn chess piece first in order to follow along.

I've been modeling for over 6 years but I get my head so messed up because I am always thinking of what should be the best workflow in each senario. These types of videos really helped me to I guess look at everything from a more simple view and realize that I don't suck that much. I don't know about others but for me the hardest part is choosing the best workflow for each project. I mean should I go retopo, should I go hopscutter, can I get away with slighly worse shading that kind of stuff. Well I do specialize in hard surface modelling, mostly with hopscutter and many other addons, but I cannot get a job so I am searching for anything and being generalist requires a lot of knowledge and time management. Also mann those shapes that consist smooth flowly lines like cars and also if they contain very sharp corners are tricky to model. Would have loved to see more shapes like that in your series, well there was only the bishop, it's cut at the top... Man so far I found that in those cases (if the model wont be used in vfx, stretched, bent etc) it is best to start off with subd and then after I make all the nice flowy lines go in with hopscutter and bevels, with meshmachine ofc cuz it has some really useful things. And ofc if the model will be for vfx then retopo. I understand that your content is aimed towards more beginner and intermediate people but you are such a good teacher and in the future I would love to see some series "how to model this". In those series you would take some image as reference, talk about the purpose of the model and approach it with different workflows. Some you would do with tris, ngons, bevels. Some with subd, some with both methods. Some where it would require some subd and sculpting, etc. Anyway I hope you find this idea interesting. For the past few weeks i've been really thinking why so many people waste time while in fact they could save a lot of time by combining workflows. Love your vids, keep them up because who knows what will happen next. I even got 3+ years of industry experience and I can't find a job as 3d artist or graphic designer after I was laid off from my previous job.. I feel like im being negative but I would never recommend someone to do 3d as carrer. Only stable I guess way of success is to be good at marketing. Anyway stress is getting to me, even my message is a chaos.

Quad Vs Tri Which is Better, you said using quads it's better but in "sheckfab" there are too many objects in Tri, then why are people using tri faces? are there benefits too?

Bro could you make a video on how to texture a human model with actual pictures instead of painting like you did on your Udemy Course with the ogre. and another thing it kinda sucks that we worked on a mythical creature instead of a human, most game devs in 3d wanna know how to make an actual human not an ogre
