Wow! I loved this show! Hollywood side note: Ms. Cicely Tyson was offered this role and turned it down. "Get Christie Love!" was Ms. Teresa Graves' first major starring role. In the meantime, how many of you see the Whitney Houston resemblance? Enjoy ☺!

Teresa Graves was so Beautiful . Love this movie . Would love to get the series .
I remember that for Halloween that year, one of my older school mates/neighbors dressed up as Christie Love.
THANK YOU!!!🥰
And I believe the men that did the music also wrote the theme to "Barney Miller"; Mr. Ferguson wrote the theme for "Charlie's Angels" and Mr. Elliott the theme for "Night Court".
Christie Love is a pure babe. Any of our brothers would marry her. Those were the days.

Good lord...this is an oldie but goody! Definitely remember "Get Christie Love!" when I was maybe 12-13 years old. The show was ABC's attempt at capitalizing on the Blaxploitation films featuring strong black females that were extremely popular in the early 70s. However, I don't think the show lasted more than one season.

Teresa Graves devoted herself full-time to her faith as a devout Jehovah's Witness. Even had stipulations in her tv contract to preach and attend meetings. She thankfully gave up the Hollywood scene all together to live her best life.
Get Christy Love is what my uncle God rest his soul called his daughter when she became a cop in the 80s lol.
When my family moved from the interior of Liberia to the city- Monrovia- in1976, this was the first film series of a black female hero I watched and she the best ever since. Am now 50.
I was a little boy when this came out and was crazy bout Christie Love 🖤✊🏾👑
Fabulous 1974 Get Christie Love movie!!!

😭these movies make me feel like I’m in the 70s or at my grandmas house I miss her so much. I’m only 22 😭
My Goodness she could be Whitney HOuston's sister! This was my show back in the day!
If you had any doubts about Teresa being Whitney Huston's mother all you have to do is watch Christie Love, she was definitely her mother! RIP two beautiful ladies & BK.

She was wonderful . As a Christian she couldn't continue with the show and pursued other acting roles. We were heartbroken but respected her sooo much!

Whitney Houston, the iconic vocalist and film actress was slated to star in a 1990's film version of "Get Christie Love" that was be produced by Danny Devito's film company, "Jersey Films".

I have this movie on two DVD’s. One DVD is double feature with TNT Jackson/Get Christie Love.
She reminds me of the late Great Whitney Houston .
This is a rare treat. Can you imagine one of the major film studios buying the film rights to _Christie Love_ and starring Whitney as the lead? At her height? I definitely see some Whitney. I'd be down for a reimagining/reboot of some sort but they'll probably tweak it too much.
Teresa Graves resemblance to Whitney Houston is uncanny. Beautiful women
Whitney Houston’s twin!

Man I miss those days how I wish I could back like you wouldn't believe
Is it possible for 2 different ppl to be sooo much alike in sooooo many ways & not be related?
If Whitney Houston could act, she would have been Christie Love.
This is a quintessential 1970s-made-for-TV-movie/pilot.
BLESSED EVENING STAY SAFE

I love that fine Brown frame
This movie harkens back to the PERIOD of TIME (1964 to 1979 ) when the momentum of PROGRESS For Racial Equality ,EQUITY, and CULTURAL RECOGNITION WAS IN FULL FORCE - SO MUCH SO THAT " clandestine meetings by and with all LEVELS of REPUBLICAN political representatives was taking place to formulate strategies to ensure that the movements for racial EQUILIBRIUM would come to an end by the end of the decade with the ELECTION of RACIST Ronnie Reagan. 🤔😑.R.I.P." late " Sixties " and All of The "Seventies."😥
Now we know where Deloris van Cartier got her VW Beetle that she drove in '"Sister Act 2"!
Kelly Rolland would play her best !!!
I think she could have been Whitney Houston's real mother. They look more a like than her and Cissy or even her the man known as her dad. Like they may have adopted her and it was kept quiet. No one ever spoke of it. Being is how she was the only girl. Makes sense that they may have adopted Whitney that gave them a girl. Because all the brothers are older than her. And Cissy probably wasn't going to have any more kids by 1963 when Whitney was born. And she was out doing her music and toured with The Sweet Inspirations on Elvis Presley's tours. Probably didn't want to be getting pregnant anymore. Something I really think may be real easy to consider thinking about. Especially, given the fact that all of them are living off her name. No one seemed to be so badly effected by her death. Only her daughter who is now gone too.
13:11 if that is not Whitney's look!!!
