just a note: when u install homebrew it will give you 2 commands at the end, by running those commands, brew will be added to the path so u dont have to specify the exact path of the binary every time

I'm not an Apple user. I've been involved with Linux for years. The "traditional" way has been to introduce the bash commands individually in a terminal. Then how you can take a group of commands that you would use regularly and group them in a file which can be run. You have now created your first program. I think that your are getting lost in the weeds at this point.
