Get a divorce: How to apply for a divorce online using GOV.UK

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

How to divorce online using the GOV.UK website.
This step by step tutorial explains how to divorce online in the United Kingdom using the www.gov.uk official website. After watching this video you will be able to use the cheapest and most cost efficient method to divorce in the UK because you will not have to use an expensive solicitor.
If you don’t have the time or willingness to go down the DIY route, the next cheapest option is to use an online divorce service. Easy Online Divorce offer transparent, fixed-price services for uncontested divorces, and there are options for every budget.
Visit here for more detail www.easyonlinedivorce.co.uk/
If your spouse agrees to a divorce or if you have been separated for more than five years, online divorce services are your best option. The ‘fully managed’ package gives the same (and often better) service than a high-street solicitor would provide, but at a fraction of the cost.
And often online divorce services are quicker because the central aim of their business is for their clients to divorce. In contrast, solicitors charge by the hour and make a significant amount of money from conflict between divorcing couples.
Please leave your comments and questions and let me know if there are any other topics you would like a tutorial on.

Watched this a few times and again whilst I was applying online. That was Friday afternoon. And on Wednesday evening, I recieved email saying "apllication approved and acknowledgement of service" has been sent to my wife. (I guess the divorce centre/courts aren't busy!). It is now £593. Really straightforward (uploaded photo of marriage certificate). 2 yr mutual separation, so hoping for a speedy outcome. Thanks for the video! Excellent!

@@zahraabouljihad5006 yes you can. But my advice don't. The divorce is just the ending of the marriage. It is recommended that you get a consent order/clean break order (which is seperate from divorce). You can apply for this at anytime from decree nisi... but from what I've researched its best to do it before applying for decree absolute. Clean break order if you've agreed on your finances/assets. Consent order if you have ongoing agreements for costs (children/maintenance etc). You don't have to apply for absolute straight away (at 6 weeks 1 day of nisi) But you must do it within 12 months of decree nisi, or the courts will question the delay.

I find it very confusing as once l filled that in, l received an email stating that my claim is not complete and l must enter fees ref number in the help with fees section of the online form (which l assume is EX160A) and then send it to Divorce Service Centre but it doesn’t mention how? Alternatively could l still apply for the divorce as you have shown in your video even though l have already completed online form for help with fees and ask for the fees to be covered afterwards? The whole process is so confusing! Additionally when would you suggest to collaborate with solicitor? Before or after the divorce application? Any advice n help would be highly appreciated. You can apply for a decree nisi if your spouse does not defend your divorce petition. When you apply for the decree nisi you also have to complete a form stating again the reasons for the divorce. You can still apply for a decree nisi if your spouse does not agree to the divorce, but you will have to go to a court hearing to discuss the case, where a judge will decide whether to grant you the decree. Hi Sean, you can't apply for a financial order until the decree nisi has been granted. From divorce application it usually takes about two and a half months to get the decree nisi. What we do at Easy Online Divorce is start preparing for the financial order once the petition has been issued so that the financial is agreed and ready to submit when the decree nisi is received.
