I will argue that with you. Cochise was the greatest chief of the Apaches. He brought three Apache tribes under his rule and when Geronimo rebelled against a stop of fighting, he took part of the tribe and became the biggest danger to white settlements ever. So I can't agree with you because he even killed children and babies and was full of hatred, not that he shouldn't have

Geronimo never wanted to be a chief..never compare him to one
"Geronimo" (full title: 'Geronimo: The Story of a Great Enemy') is a 1939 American Western film starring Chief Thundercloud as Geronimo, the famous leader of Apache warriors who fought against American colonizers. It was directed by Paul Sloane. This is the first film depiction of Geronimo's life. The funny thing about these movies. They make it look like a thousand warriors attacking a wagon train. During the apache war. At no time did cochise or geronimo have more then 150 fighting men. It took over ten thousand soldiers on both sides of the US Mexican border to capture them. The apache was fierce fighters. The word apache is Spanish for enemy.

The point is the Native American Indians were fighting for their lands. Each Indian in every war was related to one another.

The bad thing is who they used as Geraimo is better looking. The real one was short, and very fierce looking and ug-------ly.

The American west version of Lives of the Bengal Lancers , the Captain and his attitude toward the commanding officer was portrayed by Gary Cooper , the son a spitting image of the kid who hasn't seen his father in over 20 years , the oxymoron is Sneezer , Andy Devine reprising the role ably played originally by Franchot Tone. Not a bad rendition but it reminds me of today's constant remakes and script plagiarism of so many of today's movies , especially those TV movies by the Women's channel and Hallmark stuff. The big difference is this movie , they could act but those actors and actresses of today are either Kids , Wives or mistresses of some low level Hollywood producer.

He was not a chief. Those that made and paid for this movie got it wrong. He was a leader but nt a chief.

It has been well established that Geronimo did a lot of damage to the Apache nation and was not very good for his own people.

Well it's a film not a documentary so historical accuracy isn't essential. The chap playing Geronimo is a pretty good likeness though
Move into a neighborhood uninvited and start stealing land...the locals are going to get an attitude....Got a lot of British slaughtered when they had that zen-like appetite for colonization.....Here in the US ,, this guy Geronimo had a problem with strangers comin' onto HIS turf...
