I love it how you know that they are built by hand. That's pretty good. I'm sure there's tools in the manufacturing that are built using automation, but this is good to see.

In my job we used makitas drills (very good by the way), but when company brought the metabos was incredible, nobody wants the makitas now.

Cant wait for the cordless 9" grinder! I dont own a single Metabo tool or battery but il buy that grinder and some of their top batteries when it comes out. Sick of my 9" Makita grinder being one of the few tools i still need AC power for

TheColinputer The grinder is a belter ! I've always had metabo grinders and they have not missed a beat. Also the LiHd batteries are great and deliver a ton of grunt to these cordless tools. I run the 8.1/2" Cordless drop saw next to my big 12" powered unit and the metabo is the go to for most stuff. It's very impressive. (Mike)

Metabos LiHD batteries are awesome!....Much better than others, they can give a lot more amps with at the same time less temperature. check out some Tests on KZread or Internet.

Now i know that Metabo are Germany made great.

After a frustrating attempt to drill ~100 holes in old concrete with a 20V hammer drill, I bought a Metabo 36V rotary hammer...we shall see how this goes.

Rotary hammer drill all day for that many holes!

Hopefully you made universal voltage charger can plug inn 110 volts and 220 volts.

Great tour in my opinion it’s sad Metabo was bought by Hitachi and that there now moving their production more and more out of Germany

Got the ts254 tablesaw.very preciesabd i love it. Unfortunately the aluminium frame that hold the saw itselve to turn it up and down is bad designed. The bold thats in the holder which makes it go up and down is done in alumunium casting. Cant do this in aluminium.broke down in 13 months. Got a new one from metabo which is great service. Hope this one will last a bit longer. Still the same aluminium casting......so......

It seems they using them for comparison of their own tools. Makita has a good standing in germany, but i prefer Metabo.

Milwaukee is Chinese. Owned by TTI. I would rather buy a product where the money stays in America. it is hard these days to get anything that is fully made in America but at least the money is staying here. such a shame because I loved Milwaukee before they sold out. I have no issues buying German products because Germany isn't shoving a dildo in the U.S.'s ass like China is.

Hopefully the US marketing team won’t screw this up. They seem to be last on everything when it comes to new releases. FYI, Makita had the clutch for the grinders a long time ago...

HansumRob100 Yeah not cheap and nasty gear at all. I've dealt with Metabo for a long time now and have very few issues. They are german made (with a few Chinese made tools now to compete) but they are FIERCELY German. The tour was amazing and glad you have benefited from it.👍🏼 (Mike)

How do you compare built quality of the SB18LT with the Milwaukee M18BPD-302C? The Milwaukee looks heavier.

nope. Hikoki acquired Metabo, primarily to buy into the European market (where Metabo is very big).

The Metabo Sabre Saw is made in China.

metabo is good only if its made in germany....as makita must be made in jappan...thats how i choose my tools...life time guarantee!

[Dwain] Certainly their Germany-made gear is the better stuff. But I don't really buy the old 'anything made in China is junk' adage anymore. There is both excellent and awful stuff coming out of Asia, just depends on the QA.

The Germany people know how to do for anything made in there country, challenge is convenience and after sales support, service Germany has short supplies making products costly.

Metabo can easily take over from Festool . The Kapex is nothing special. metabos latest saw is so much better . Metabo need a much stronger UK sales director.

Well it may be possible .... but I don't think they are focusing on the same type of customer. I actually love the Kapex. Metabo are mad into grinding and drilling along with some other areas. FESTOOL is a different beast. (Mike)

Phen0mable Yet so often as builders get to site they have no power so are carrying a generator, not to mention the tagging in Australia. I think it opens options to everyone and you can choose to go there or not .... (mike)
