That's a nice collection. I too caught the sickness of antique knives, particularly stag handled knives. I think they can be beautiful and are a reminder of a different time in the world, like functional history.

So glad I found this. My great grandfather stormed the beaches of Normandy and after they had gone around and cut fingers off to take rings, etc. He took a solingen knife off of a German soldier and it ended up back in America with him. And he passed it on to my grandfather, who since passed it on to me. It's got dark stains on the back of the knife and I'm presuming it is blood stains, and I can't get them off ( not that I want too). I'm glad I found this youtube video! Thanks for the share

I've got an Edge Mark 457 I've had for 40 years. My first hunting knife in fact. It's still my most used fixed blade due to a happy accident. The handle has an odd shape that makes it fit most comfortably in the left hand. Being a lefty this is the most comfortable knife I've ever held. Yes, it needs much more maintenance than a lot of knives but I can use it for hours without gloves and never get a blister or callous.
